My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth removed 1 1/2 weeks ago by Dr Gray. It was amazing. She did wonderful. It was a better experience and healing process than the rest of our family who have had it done in Bloomington. I highly recommend Dr Gray. If your insurance is accepted at Midwest it also makes it more affordable.

Midwest Dental has served my family for the past 3 years. I've tried other Dental offices in and around Pontiac for my family, this has been the easiest dental office to get in for appointments I've ever been to into for appointments. Dr. Bess and Dr. Gray are amazing! My Son has disabilities and they always do their best to make sure he is comfortable. The Hygienist /*Assistants are all very knowledgeable and of the highest quality, I know... *I've had this job before! (C) The front office staff and billing department is always right on, pays attention to detail, fast, and courteous. I would suggest Midwest Dental to any family and friend.

Be prepared to be rushed into a treatment without Midwest Dental getting pre-approval from your insurance or even asking if you would personally like to check with your insurance. I was rushed into a crown for a cracked tooth (that I felt no pain with whatsoever). After the first crown appointment, the office told me that I would have to wait 3 weeks before the second appointment to put the permanent crown in because the dentist would be on vacation, which is something they could've told me before the first appointment instead of having an uncomfortable temp crown for 3 weeks. Then cement was left on my tooth after a previous procedure and when I mentioned this to the front office, they blamed me for not coming into the office "when I felt pain" instead of apologizing or taking responsibility. I did not have pain with that, and the cement was discovered by them, so I don't know how that was my fault. A couple months later, I receive a collections letter from them without ever receiving a bill beforehand. When I call, I find out that the crown claim was denied by insurance and they had submitted an appeal--no prior notice to me before this call. I ask for the paperwork and call insurance, who say that the claim was denied again because the x-ray showed that the tooth did not look cracked or decayed. Obviously, I am not a dentist so I had trusted them that there was a problem that needed fixing immediately. They admitted when I called back that they never got pre-approval for the claim and did not submit it until after the first part of the crown procedure. So now I am stuck with a massive bill that they refuse to cover despite all of their mistakes. When I make a mistake at my job, I have to make it up to my customer, so this is very disheartening. Please beware of Midwest Dental, who are more interested in the money than helping the patients. Also, I found out from other patients that this has happened to them, as well.

Very friendly. Took the time to explain everything very well.

My visit was wonderful. First I had a cleaning, Angie was very thorough and gentle. I got a little scolding for not flossing, but that was well deserved. After that Dr Gray did stage two of my dental implant. He and Bria were also great. Never had any pain or discomfort, and they explained everything in real time so I wasn’t caught off guard. Excellent dental office!!!

Went here because I did not have a regular dentist and needed a referral to get an impacted wisdom tooth removed by an orthopedic surgeon. I told the person I made the appointment with that all I needed was a referral. But when I saw Dr. Gray, he wanted to pull the tooth and the rest that day without sedating me. I was uncomfortable with this and, since my insurance wasn't going to cover the procedure, I figured since I'm paying thousands for it and the Dentist is actually a SERVICE PROVIDER that I am entitled to say how I want my teeth pulled from my head. So he had an almost hostile conversation with me about getting it pulled and in a matter of 5 minutes he insulted me, belittled me, patronized me, did not care to hear what I thought or felt, behaved as though he thought the world of himself and couldn't be bothered to treat me like a human being with respect. To be honest, I felt like he was just mad about not getting the money and considered me childish for wanting to be sedated. Oh and to top it off, my wisdom tooth was impacted and I was in so much pain that I couldn't open my mouth well at all. He could have gently pried my mouth open to get a better view but, once again, couldn't be bothered, and stuck all four of his fingers in my mouth and ripped it open like there was nothing wrong at all. Not cool. Overall the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist. Side note, and after reading these reviews, I'm clearly not the only one who found this guy's behavior completely unacceptable.
