My husband and I started going here in the beginning of the year. We love the atmosphere, dentist, and her staff. The dentist is very kind and knowledgeable.I was experiencing so many problems with my teeth, and she was able to figure out the problem immediately. Truly a step up from Aspen Dental.

I love it here . Everyone is super friendly ! I’ve never experienced such kindness while going to the dentist . My daughter was afraid to go but now she is looking forwards to seeing everyone again , and that’s a huge win in our family . Definitely going to be our family dentistry forever !

It had been 6 years since I saw a dentist so I was nervous going in to see Dr. Main. From start to end everyone at the office made me feel comfortable and didn't chastise me. My teeth look amazing and I am so thankful I met Dr. Main and her staff. I will be a regular patient from now on!

I had a chance to experience Dr. Main's dental care first hand last week. I have known Dr. Main for a number of years and I sold my dental practice to Dr. Main in 2016. Being friends with a dentist and being the dentist's patient are two different things; and I am happy to report that Dr. Main is gentle, detailed oriented and efficient. She replaced an old crown that had cavities under it and took care of a cavity on the tooth that touched the old crown. It is difficult to do dentistry for another dentist because we dentists know exactly what is going on during the procedures and how we would do it. I experiencing no pain and Dr. Main took care of my problems in an efficient manner. The resulting filling and crown is smooth, easy to clean and beautiful with a perfect bite.
I previously have recommended Dr. Main as a colleague, but now I can recommend Dr. Main as a patient!

I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years. I finally tapped out and got an appointment. My gums were receding and I needed a deep clean. If you're not familiar, they numb one side of your mouth and use a high powered water tool to get plaque out from under the gum line. It's a lengthy appointment. Redheads require more anesthetic than normal so when I could still feel the tools, Dr. Main came in and shot me deeper. It wasn't the most pleasant thing, but it was absolutely necessary for me to be as numb as possible during this procedure. I've been back twice since my other side got cleaned. My gums have improved really well. Ice Ben doing my part too, (most times) by brushing and flossing. I hate doing it, but flossing is crucial to the overall health of your mouth. Many people dread going to the dentist. I don't! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and great all around. Plus, I get to see my cousin when I go in, so that's a great perk! I would highly recommend Des Moines Family Dentistry to anyone. I live west out of Des Moines, and could easily choose another dentist that's closer to me. But the extra miles are worth all of the friendly smiles! 😁

They were able to get me in for a broken tooth, within an hour after they opened after a 3 day holiday weekend. They called and set up an appointment for me within minutes of them opening, after I had left a message 3 days before.
Then called back to move it up because of a cancellation. Great staff, everyone is very professional.

Update: Originally, the tooth I broke the 3rd of July would have to wait to be scheduled for a temporary crown sometime in September. My schedule was flexible and they called 2 days later with the final crown scheduled for the 13th of August. They had another schedule change, called and got me in today. July 3- August 10, start to finish.

Dr.Main is always very professional. I used to be very nervous about dental appts. but she has made my checkups less stressful. Office is always bright & cheerful. I have gone to this dental office for years, very happy Dr.Snavely chose Dr Main to take over his practice. Choose Dr Main as your dentist, they will take care of all your dental needs.

I have been going to DMFD for 26 years. They are simply the best. very conscientious about pain and have a wonderful bedside manner. I broke a tooth on a Saturday, called the emergency number and Dr. Main called me back within 15 minutes. I can't say enough about the quality of dental work and the wonderful folks at DMFD. I have referred coworkers to them for years and have yet to hear anything but positive comments. They are the best.
