First time to the dentist in awhile. Xbox kiosks for the kids to keep them entertained. The exam rooms come equipped with a massage chair and a TV to watch while they work on your teeth. The staff were very polite and my hygienist was awesome. She made sure I understood everything that was going on with the procedure and what to expect in the future. Dr. Howell introduced himself and made sure his staff were taking care of me. Will be sure to make this my go to place to have any work done on my teeth.

Dr. Howell is very personable and professional. He gave me all the options for treatment when I experienced my tooth loss and helped me go through the pros and cons of each. I experienced no pain during any of the extensive restoration processes. It was difficult going to a new dentist for the first time with a serious problem, but I'm glad I chose Dr. Howell.

I found Dr. Matt Howell years ago when my boys and I moved back to Kansas. He and his wife Stacy treated us like family from day one. Their business has grown and improved each year. We love the video games for the kids while they wait, the beautiful and comfortable waiting rooms, and the very friendly staff. While I get my teeth cleaned by my favorite hygienist Andrea, I get a free massage in their awesome chairs while watching HGTV. Everything is so clean with cutting edge technology (and as a nurse I am rather picky about this!) My boys look forward to their visits and have often said they wished the service wasn't so prompt so they could enjoy the amenities a little longer! We will never go anywhere else.

Recently moved to Wichita and needed dentist for entire family. Transitioned to a "family dentist" after years with pediatric dentist for the kids and so far have been very happy. They offer everything that we were getting with the pediatric dentist (keeping in mind that the kids are now ages 10-15 so needs have changed slightly). The office has been on time for appointments which is a bonus with tight schedules. They've got video games in the waiting room so the kids have been entertained while there (again, they seem to run on time so we'll have to come early so they can play a little longer. Ha!) The office staff is super friendly and accomodating.

Dr Howell abandoned me as a patient because I "asked too many questions" ,and he felt that "dentist-patient trust has been compromised".

I only asked ONE question which was why they would do a filling on my occlusal distal area which appeared to be white and solid without any decay.

I STILL scheduled a appointment to work on that tooth, even though I wasn't sure why. That's because I TRUSTED him. I just wanted to double check if it was the right spot, or if there was less destructive way, or if we could wait till a later time since the decay seemed small on the X ray. He never discussed those questions with me.

So I called and asked, A wasn't sure why, said K would call me back. K didn't call me back, so I emailed. I called back again to confirm that they didn't forget about my question, some assistant said yes it was on their schedule, and K was just so busy, and confirmed my appointment for treatment.

Soon A called and said that appointment was cancelled. I asked why, and she didn't give me a clear answer, and said office manager would call me back tomorrow.

I waited for 2 days, D called me. She briefly explained why, and said Doctor felt it would be a better option for me to seek help elsewhere, because I had" so many questions" and he felt that "dentist- patient trust has been compromised"

Based on what she told me, I further googled and made sense out of the treatment plan: my tooth decay was called an interproximal cavity, which meant the cavity was in between the tooth, and typically a dentist would have to drill a hole from the white solid top, to get to that point of decay.

Not a hard question to answer, right? So sad that I asked a question and he took it as distrust. I don't know how he got so many good reviews...

This is also what I read from google, "An informed patient is a better patient. Every patient is entitled to a thorough examination, a competent diagnosis, an explanation of the pros, cons and costs of all treatment options, and the opportunity to reach an informed decision on the proposed treatment. If you take the few extra minutes necessary to fulfill this responsibility, there will be little cause for complaint."

They were wonderful. They understood that I was uneasy with dental work and recognized that I might need a little extra help. They also went out of their way to explain what the were doing and why. Finally, the treatment plan was easy to understand and I didn't feel like I was being upsold on extra work. Very gentle, which is important to me. Very adept at handling my anxiety.

Glad to find a good dentist close by. Modern office with lots of extras; a place for kids, massage chair and TV if you need some distraction. Both my dad and father-in-law were dentists, so I’m familiar!

They treated me great. I had no insurance and they gave me a great price on what needed to be done. Dr. made a plan that was easy to follow and afford. The staff are nice and very helpful as well. Thanks to them I now have a great smile and healthy teeth.

For most people, going to the dentist is not something that they look forward to doing. My initial visit with Andover Family Dentistry was due to a bad experience at another area dentist where I had a tooth go bad after repairing a filling. But Dr. Howell and his staff bad a dreaded visit pleasant. Since that first visit, I have been going to them for my dental needs. Dr. Howell and his staff are friendly and professional. They do a great job sending out reminders of upcoming appointments, which is great with my busy schedule.

The receptionist, hygienists, and Dr. Howell are beyond welcoming! I was well taken care of and would recommend them to anyone.
