This happened to me in 2016; however, I still get angry thinking about it. I went to Aspen Dental in Lexington for a routine cleaning. The dental hygienist immediately started with scare tactics concerning my gums. My gums have always been large and no other dentists have ever been concerned. The dental hygienist and dentist both told essentially told me I would lose my teeth if I didn't IMMEDIATELY get a very expensive treatment plan of root planing and scaling, as well as maintenance visits. I was in graduate school, working as a teaching assistant, and paying for a wedding. I was crying in the financial office thinking I would have to get a student loan just to "save my teeth."
Luckily for me, my fiance was in dental school. When I called him crying, he thought something was off. So, I got a second and a third opinion. Both of those dentists immediately thought Aspen Dental was scamming me for the money. Here I am two years later with my teeth still intact - shocking! Just had my routine cleaning last weekend (elsewhere obviously), and the dentist had no concerns whatsoever.
Aspen Dental in Lexington also scared my friend who was also in college into the root planing and scaling. It is a LOT of money, and they apparently target a lot of young women into getting it. Please be careful with any treatments you receive there, and get a second opinion if it just doesn't feel right. Corporate dentistry is a $$ scam, and it's not worth their convenient hours.

I arrived early for my appointment and waited till past the appointment time. When I was finally taken back to a chair I was left to wait (again) till a hygenist came. When I stated I would be looking for a dentist that took my insurance she immediately left the room; no cleaning was done. The Dentist who examined me for a replacement denture was informative and very nice but the business manager? who gave me the estimate quoted prices that only had 10% discount. When I made the appointment I was told 20% discount was being offered. Two days later I saw a commercial which again mentioned the 20% discount.

Had first appointment today. Cleaning was good. Had to wait a bit. Hygienist was nice and answered my questions. Was sympathetic to my fear of dentistry work, which I appreciated. Will go back soon for a filling replacement.

From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was very polite. I have anxiety going to the dentist and not once while I was in here did I feel anxious. The staff seems knowledgeable and explained everything they would be doing during my visit. Thank you all!

My experience at Aspen Dental continues to be excellent. I have been going to this office for a year now and all of the staff was very friendly and concerned about the health of my mouth. They did all they can to make me feel comfortable, as well as understand what treatment I need. I would highly suggest this office to anyone in need of dental work.
