I was nervous knowing that I’ll be having my first procedure since I moved out to Nola. You don’t run into many dentists/doctors that you’d be happy with. Now, I have had my check up and cleaning done here before. & that was pretty satisfying so I gave it a chance. Anh was sweet and seem very happy to chat about our day to day nonsense. Didn’t think she’d recall who I was under a mask, let alone remembered where I worked. I found that was pleasant. Along with their friendly staff, which would greet you as soon as you’re in front of them, they had a gem of a doctor! Dr. Marin!! Really enjoyed that he’d introduce things he’ll be using on you to be aware of what it was and how it works. Most dentists just tell you to open your mouth and stick all types of gadgets in there w/o regard that it might make the patient uncomfortable or even have them half choking during the procedure. All the staff I worked with (Rosie, Shannon and Dr. Mark Anderson) were all quite fabulous. I don't think I've ever felt so great after a dentist appointment. It was a little cold in there when I was waiting for Dr. Anderson but that's my only complaint :P While I only got about 5-10 minutes with Dr. Anderson, he really gave me the impression he cared. He also did not push any services to me. I asked about patching some areas of my teeth due to gum recession but he felt that I was handling it well and didn't want to make matters worse by trying to "fix" stuff. I also asked about replacing my invisalign retainer and purchasing a mouth guard and he gave me the information necessary so that I can make the decision. I really appreciated that; it felt very patient-centered and patient-driven. I HIGHLY recommend Mid-City Smiles.

My appointment was an annual checkup and cleaning. The hygienist was excellent. The cleaning was thorough and painless. The dentist did a quick check at the end, verifying everything. Excellent.

Great experience! From start to finish they made sure I was comfortable the whole way through my appointment. Very courteous staff and relaxing atmosphere. Me and my girls always feel welcome here. Dr. Anderson and his hygienist were phenomenal. The appointment went very smoothly and all concerns and general cleaning were addressed. Extremely efficient, kind mannerisms, and genuine attention to the task at hand. Would 100% recommend.

I've had two visits here: a cleaning, and one for a wisdom teeth referral. My hygienist seemed very efficient with the ultrasonic scaler. Fast and minimal pain relative to other cleanings I've had. I also really liked that they give you estimates on any additional products they recommend, so you can opt out for financial reasons if needed; this is also not always the case at other places around town. Referral was also great and I could eat normal food in about 2 weeks.

I saw Dr. Marin. He’s very detail oriented and put my mind at ease. Other dentists were insistent and suggestive of me having work done but Dr. Marin recommended a conservative treatment which preserves mr teeth and smile. I’m extremely happy that I made the switch and look forward to this patient dentist relationship. Today was my first visit and I’ve already recommended him and their practice to others.
