Gentle Family Dentistry

I chipped a tooth on Christmas just a week after moving to the area. Gentle Family Dentistry was recommended by a co-worker. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. The person on the phone was helpful, the hygienist and assistant were very good, and the dentist did a great job repairing my tooth. We will definitely return.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They are scammers who will try to get you to pay for procedures you don’t need! My regular dentist retired and I found myself without one. I figured I’d try Gentle Family Dentistry. To my surprise, after being examined by the doctor, who’s name I didn’t even catch because she was so incredibly rude and short with me, I was told I had two cavities. I am 30 years old and never in my life had a cavity. I knew there was no possible way I had one, yet alone two. I tried questioning them, but they insisted that I had to get these two cavities removed immediately. I left there without scheduling a follow up appointment and decided to get a second opinion. I went to a different practice the following week to have them look because I know I didn’t have any cavities. Low and behold the doctor could not find a single cavity, and was confused and flat out surprised that a “well respected” dentist would tell me otherwise. Needless to say I found my new dentist, and it isn’t Gentle Family Dentistry

Dr. Sclater and the staff are a treasure! I was looking for a dentist and wasnt comfortable with my first choice. Several friends recommended Dr. Sclater and I'm so grateful they led me to Gentle Family Dentistry. They are super friendly, very professional, and thorough. From the first phone call, Michelle was so attentive and friendly. She took her time to understand and help me. I was the most comfortable I've ever been at a dentist. The hygeneist and Dr. Sclater were amazing!!! I look forward to going to the dentist now. Ok maybe not look forward to it but I will not avoid the dentist anymore!

Although I haven't been to Gentle Family Dentistry, I can absolutely attest to Dr. Mohomed's patient care. She has been my dentist for approximately 5 years now. Before my first visit with her, I hadn't been to the dentist in nearly 15 years. I was nervous, I had a lot of work to be done including fixing some previous dental work that had never been completed. I never felt rushed with her, I could ask her as many questions as I needed to to be able to understand the treatment I was to have, and I left the dental office that day feeling reassured, confident, and comfortable. When I arrived just a few days later to begin treatment, I felt like she was genuinely happy to be helping me complete my dental work, she was very welcoming and made me feel at ease immediately. We talked about what exactly was going to happen that day, but more than that, she LISTENED to me. She took my concerns about treatment, cost, nerves, etc. into consideration. I never felt her put the numbing solution in my gums, she was attentive to me at all times during all procedures, and was always very personable with me. I've recommended many people to her and I sing her praises as a dentist all the time! Dr. Mohomed is a wonderful dentist and I'm so grateful to have found her!

When I was younger I used to dread going to the dentist. That was until I found Gentle Family Dentistry and had the good fortune of meeting their staff. Prompt, courteous and professional from the minute I walked in to the last moment before I left. I can't say enough great things about my consistent positive interactions with everyone there. My wife and I have found our dentists for life and we encourage our friends to give them a try as well.

Dr. Mohomed has been my dentist for a long time, I feel like she is very thorough and answers any question I have in detail, explaining all of my options. She is very gentle, and makes me feel comfortable and safe while in her dental chair. I would not question her treatment or dental recommendations. I believe Gentle Family Dentistry has improved since they added Dr. Mohomed on as a provider. I enjoy the atmosphere and I know the treatment I am getting is not second best.

The whole staff at Gentle Dentistry are all so amazing! everyone is always so upbeat and friendly, it is so refreshing! I had to get an upper partial, when my product came in, Dr. Sclater took her time, adjusting it for me, over 30 minutes!This is new experience in my mouth, and so much patience getting it right! I would highly recommend everyone to just stop in the office, and feel how wonderful that someone really cares!!

I had four fillings done today and three were done painlessly with the laser. Only one needed numbing before being filled and even that wasn't bad. By far the best dentist experience I've had in a very long time. I even made sure I made my next appointment before leaving the office.

Very friendly, Took extra care with my visit. I have very sensitive teeth waited to make sure I would be pain free. My insurance ran out before I could finish the procedures I needed. I was willing to pay out of pocket instead of waiting. They were one of the better experiences I have had since we moved to southern Maryland.

Broke a tooth this time. It took me longer to get there than it took Dr Sclater to put a temp fix in. Another good experience.

I have been going to Gentle Family Dentistry long before Dr. Sclater took over the practice. At each visit I'm greeted with smiles and I can feel the atmosphere of friendliness within the establishment. I can't thank Dr. Sclater and Dr. Deleon and all of the staff enough for the great care they provide for me and my family.
