The Dental Group at Post Office Square

I was referred to Dr. Hammer at the Dental Group at Post Office Square a few years ago, by my brother-in-law, who had recently undergone major dental restoration. Once the decision was made that I too, would begin my own restoration, Dr. Hammer, along with his amazing dental assistant Carly, helped map out a very detailed plan for me. My restoration would be quite difficult, and required multiple insurance submissions, detailed explanations to them regarding the specificity of my case and time spent in the lab to figure out exactly how it could be done. Throughout this whole process, his entire office staff, namely Bonnie at the front, took time to review costs, a manageable plan, and how best to make payments that fit my own financial capacities. She was in constant contact, even on off hours, to update me on what was due and how the team was supporting my needs as well. Once the restoration was underway, the office staff as well as Carly and Dr. Hammer, were always available if any issues arose, able to see me that same day and provide comfort and reassurances. Dr. Hammer is professional and kind and has gone above and beyond to support this arduous dental “revamp.” I also cannot say enough about his dental hygienist, Carly. She is super smart and friendly and I feel very confident with her working alongside Dr. Hammer. As a nurse myself, I see all of the behind the scenes work (that many are not privy to), preparation and organization she is constantly juggling in an entirely seamless way. I truly could not say anything better about this entire team, from whomever answers calls, to Paul the “tooth color tech guy,” everyone is beyond skilled and knowledgeable in their field and promotes a sense of comfort and calmness. My entire life, I have HATED going to the dentist, so knowing I needed to be doing so for a handful of months had been quite daunting. However, I will now say, and with the utmost sincerity, that that fear has waned immensely knowing I’m in the hands of such excellent providers!

I have always had a positive experience at Post Office Dental. All of the staff from the receptionist, to the hygienist, and dentist have been extremely friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. I especially love receiving my cleanings from the hygienist, Leighton Johnyard. He makes the experience enjoyable as he pays attention to detail, is gentle, yet thorough and offers great conversation throughout the appointment. I could feel the care and heart that he puts into the cleaning.
Also, he usually asks questions about my dental care routine and offers tips and pointers on how I could enhance my care from home. I would recommend Post Office Dental to anyone, but especially to someone who has a fear of going to the dentist or have had previously uncomfortable experiences.

Specifically, I was seen promptly after my visit with Dr. Hammer. She was most cordial and welcoming, remembering who I was and answering all my questions. She was efficient and thorough in evaluating my gums and teeth. She comfortably removed plaque from my teeth and polished them.

She gave me an easily understandable description of a specific, localized problem she identified. She provided instructions of where and how to intensify my brushing and personal routine dental hygiene. She gave me a brush, toothpaste, and dental floss. She arranged for my follow-up appointment.

This group is fantastic! Dr. Jack Share goes above and beyond to help his patients, is polite, kind and extremely competent - “TOPS”in his field! Sharon, my favorite dental hygienist is always professional, competent, very caring and full of great advice and info about hygiene care. Dealing with Bobbie, who works so hard to see patients through the administrative process, and the rest of the office staff is always a pleasure which is why 5 stars is the only rating our family finds appropriate!

I’ve been coming to see Jack Share and Sharon for years. All of the issues I've had over the years Jack has resolved with great talent. Sharon has thoroughly provided me with great cleanings and overall sound advice. I definitely recommend them.

I am leaving one star because this office cancelled my cleaning appointment 3 times. I’m giving up. My guess is probably because they can make more money off of more expensive procedures on other patients? Not sure. Guess I will find a different office. Thanks for nothing! So happy I waited over a month for a dental cleaning only to get cancelled again.

I am glad an acquaintance told me about Dr. Share's dental practice. He is an excellent dentist. His practice is very professional. It is immaculately clean. He has a team of mature professionals working with him. The front office staff is excellent. His prices are fair. I always am able to get an appt when I need one. What I especially appreciate about Dr. Share is that when I was brand new, I had 2 teeth that needed immediate attention. Dr. Share fixed them for me first before doing anything else. I told him that we can do the x-rays and exam afterwards. He was sensitive to my need. One tooth had a bad cavity. The other tooth lost its side filling. He did perfect work. I am very pleased. He gives his patients material he has prepared with excellent instructions and explanations. I highly recommend Dr. Share and his excellent professional staff. I believe you will like him too.

Dr Jack Share has taken care of my dental and periodontal needs for over 30 years and still brings his A game on every office visit! He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He has conducted root canals and installed multiple crowns on my teeth - in each effort he has been totally transparent about what procedures he will follow, what type of discomforts could occur, and what benefits I should see post- operation. An accomplished musician and geologist, he brings his curiosity and passion into office conversations - a “rocker” who rocks! His Dental Hygenist Sharon is also wonderful - thorough, kind, and so much fun to be around - she really cares about her patients - we share a love of Bob Marley songs that makes the sessions fly by! Also, Bobbie on the front reception desk is also terrific - fun, organized, and super efficient! I heartily recommend this wonderful team to any and all people needing quality dental care!

Outstanding dental practice with excellent staff. I am very impressed by Leighton's personality and work as a dental hygienist. He is skilled and compassionate, and encourages me to do better home care. The office is very clean and the office staff are personable and efficient. I also recommend the periodontist and endodontist who have treated me here for several years.

I can't say enough great things about the Dental Group at Post Office Square and their staff. I started coming to Dr. Silvestri when I lived in Boston years ago. He fixed one issue resulting from previous dental work and helped me prevent further cavities and the need for fillings. I moved out of state in 2015 and continue to travel back to Boston, partially to see the dentist and have my teeth cleaned. I don't trust anyone else at this point. Every dental hygienist and dentist at this practice is excellent! The dentists are conservative in their approach and do not push unnecessary procedures. In fact, they encourage patients to use specialized toothpaste and take a wait and see approach before drilling cavities which might never grow larger, and therefore, don't actually need to be drilled and filled. The front desk staff are friendly and have always helped me schedule appointments, even when I call last minute. You will be in good hands at this dental practice.
