McLean Family Dental

My husband and I had an appointment this morning at 7am and 8am. We were told to be there early to get the paperwork done. We were there at the clinic at 6:45am and they had a sign out that said “OPEN”. We walked up to the entrance and found that the door was locked. There was a staff who is on the very heavy side in the hallway who looked right at us, took her time to walk to the counter, looked right at us again, took her time to walk towards the hallway again and this time, turned her back at us and started chatting with another colleague while we were still standing outside in the cold (22F). We knocked the door for them to let us in but they both completely ignored us!! This behaviour is just rude, outrageous and totally unacceptable. We never got a chance to step in the clinic and decided to leave because if this is how they treat their customers, imagine how much care they would give us when we’re inside!

I just finished my annual cleaning appointment. My dental hygienist was Andrea. She does thorough, yet not abrasive work. Her cheerful personality brightens my day.

Be very careful before using. My 17 year old went to get a filling, they made the decision to do multiple fillings and use non-standard procedures and products so insurance would only cover a small portion of the bill. They never got approval from us (his parents) before doing the work and now we have a 700 dollar bill due to their decisions. Unacceptable. Parents should still have the say in their kids care. Unacceptable.

I chipped a front tooth Thursday night before we we were leaving on a 3 week trip the following Monday. It wasn't a huge chip but a very sharp, jagged edge remained. I called to see if there was any chance I could get it smoothed down a bit so I wouldn't wear my tongue off 😊 They said they could squeeze me in if I didn't mind if I had to wait a bit. Five minutes in the lobby, maybe ten in the exam room before Dr. Ellen came in and five minutes later I walked out with a fixed tooth! Truly appreciated the accommodation and care I received!!!

I went here roughly 5 years ago, I dont recall which dentist it was but my brother and I had a horrible experience here ! The dentist put too much novacaine in to begin with, saliva was dripping down the back of my throat because he wasnt suctioning it and there was no dental assistant present the whole time. I dont know for sure but I think legally if theyre doing four fillings needing some to appropriately suction there should be a dental assistant present to help. I will find out and update the name of the dentist that did this. I would hope and pray he still doesnt work as I now have panic attacks during my dentist visits due to what happened that day.

Staff arent always the most accommodating or understanding of prefered names and pronouns. Ive tried to explain but they just dont get it. Otherwise seems like a great place on the dental side of it.
They do good teeth so theyre fine.

Ive been very happy with the dentist's at McLean Family Dental, also the dental tech. that does the cleaning. Very friendly people there.

Had another great visit with the McLean Team. Quick sign in thorough cleaning and most importantly my teeth feel great!
