My 90 yr old mother in law has been coming to this practice for many years, but as have many elderly, there has been a lapse in visits during Covid. I recently brought her in for a checkup. She had a new hip replacement since her last visit. She has dementia and her surgery was an emergency treatment with a specialist at Dartmouth so my husband did not have the info about whether she needed premedication prior to dental treatment. The staff did an exam and xrays and we scheduled treatment a few weeks out. I was impressed that the staff took the intiative to find the Dr at Dartmouth who did her surgery. They discovered she did not need premed.! Also, they worked with her when she had restorative needs to do without anesthesia(at her request), which many offices would not do. I feel this office goes above and beyond to treat their patients with the most up to date treatment and with respect of their individual needs. As a dental hygienist of 45 yrs. I have experienced many dental offices. I rate this practice with top honors!

I was referred to Hughes Dental by my regular dentist for extractions twice. This place is clean, friendly, & very professional. They explain everything to you so that you understand what is going on as well as after care instructions. Dr. Hugh is friendly & gentle, & they seem to really care. If you have to have oral surgery of any kind, this is a very pleasant place to go.

I can't say enough about this place! I was nervous to have invasive dental work done during the pandemic, but as soon as I walked through the door, all of my fears were quelled. The office was IMMACULATE, and the covid protocols they had in place really put my mind at ease. The entire staff, from reception to the dentists, were so friendly and helpful, keeping me informed as to what was happening throughout the duration of my visit. Dr. Hughs and his assistant, Tamra, worked together incredibly well that I was out of there in no time. The whole experience was beyond impressive; I don't think I will ever go to another office!

I was on vacation in the area when my veneer came out. Although, I was not one of Dr. Hugh’s regular patients, I was treated like one. After I made the phone call I was seen within 2 hours. My veneer was cleaned and fixed with in 30 min, and I was ready to go enjoy my stay in the White Mountains. Everyone was compassionate and efficient, I would highly recommended this dental practice!

State of the Art Dentistry. Wonderful dentist, excellent caring staff. Just the best! From cleanings, a tooth removal to an implant the results were great. Dr. Hugh is a perfectionist and it shows in his work.

Went in for urgent treatment, and this was my first experience with Dr. Hugh. He and his staff were excellent from beginning to end, professional, compassionate, willing to take the time to numb a tooth that refuses to numb, explained each step and future treatments, and just sat and chatted, to help my anxiety. I went in utterly stressed and fearful, and by the end was comfortable and relaxed as I think it is possible for me to be under the circumstances. What a find. What a practice. I can't recommend them highly enough. Just, wow. I might actually lose my terror of dentists if I keep going to see them.

My first experience with them and was extremely positive. Everyone was very nice and professional. Everything they did was necessary to figure out how to fix my tooth. He showed me exactly what they found and gave me prices and options. They ended up fixing it temporarily right then.
