The Doctor tried to upsell me on an expensive ($3000 +, my cost after insurance $1200 plus) cleaning and never offered me a free one based on my blood pressure. I wasted my time and money on a baby sitter for nothing. If there were such tight parameters on blood pressure in order to get my teeth cleaned they should have been disclosed to me prior to my appointment. My hypertension as well as medication taken for it was listed in my chart. I just didn’t take my pill that morning so it was slightly elevated. Also, no healthcare professional takes a blood pressure on the wrist unless it’s the only option. I’m not going to explain how the cardiovascular system works to a doctor but maybe some CEUs are in order.
