Well, I had to rewrite my five star review. They will give you a quote that's affordable then hit you will a larger bill later on in the mail. BEWARE!

This happened to me TWICE. Last year I had treatment done that was mostly covered by my insurance and I just had to make some small co-payments and I really enjoyed the staff.

A month after my last treatment I was hit with a $50 bill that was "past due." I called to find out that my insurance didn't cover all of the costs and I had to make an additional payment over the phone.

I just let that go but this is the first time that a dental office has ever gotten my quote incorrect.

Recently I went in for another treatment that they presented as totally affordable with two payments and my insurance would cover the rest.

I got hit with another bill in the mail as "past due" for $70!

I called again and asked why they cant get my insurance coverage right. The office manager Leticia told me that their quotes are ONLY estimates and they do not know how much the insurance actually covers and they try to get it "as close as possible." She also tried to talk over me when I was talking and I had to stop her and say that I wasn't finished talking, she was so condescending.

That is simply NOT acceptable. I've never had a dental office or any medical facility inaccurately quote my treatment plans.

This seems so fishy and I feel that they give you a low price to agree to treatment then hit you with the true amount later just so that they can laugh all the way to the bank.

Ive been referred to this office by my mom who was referred by a coworker and I even referred my coworker to this office. I will be finding a new dental office and warning everyone that I know.

I’ve never felt more informed and clearly talked to by a dentist! I’ve had good dentistry experiences, but this one was great. I felt really well cared for. 👍🏻👍🏻

Ok, truth be told, we are one of "those families." We have not taken care of our teeth like we should have. Honestly, I have put off going to the dentist for the last few years because I really didn't want a lecture (vicious cycle: don't go to dentist, teeth jacked up, don't want to go because don't want to get yelled at for teeth being all jacked up). Anyways...these guys were great! No lectures, just straight talk about what we could do to get everything fixed and clean and working right in a few visits. Pain was minimal and they addressed all our comfort needs too: I-pods, hot towels, bottled water, lip balm.Our visit was very enjoyable and quicker than we expected.They were able to take all of our family of four at once so we could get in, get out and on with our lives. Our family's dental health was vastly improved and in a way that was so respectful and professional. We found our family dentist! When I left, I grabbed a bunch of business cards. Shouldn't keep a great place like this a secret!

Just got a tooth extracted. And it was the most Pleasant Dental experience I ever had. After going to numerous dentist around Albuquerque I'm so happy to have found these guys. Everyone is so nice and helpful and informative and the dentist is very confident. I was very freaked out about getting this done I am so happy to have found people that could ease the pain and make the whole experience somewhat enjoyable. Thank you dr. Nuanes and everyone in the office.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They developed a care plan on the first visit and scheduled a cleaning for the next day. I wasn’t left sitting in a waiting room for more then 5 minutes and wasn’t left waiting in the chair. Very happy with my service!

Very professional and friendly as soon as you walk into their door. They make sure you comfortable at all time! I highly recommend Napa Family Dental to anyone looking for great dentist.

Awesome dentist and staff. Have been going there for awhile. Staff and everyone there are always super friendly and nice. They make you feel confident and comfortable and genuinely care about you.

Short summery: If you have any fear of visiting the dentist you will do yourself a great favor by going and seeing Dr. Young-Trujillo. He isn’t like other dentists; his main concern is your comfort and health. He utilizes the most advanced techniques in dental care to make sure that those of us with dental phobia are as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Longer summery: I have no idea why, but I am terrified of needles and dental visits. Because of this I have put off years of dental care. Things were getting to the point that I absolutely needed to see a dentist. I decided to see Dr. Young-Trujillo because he offers sedation dentistry. With his office I have had dental care conducted through oral sedation and nitrous oxide. I highly recommend both.

The conscious sedation is a great option if you have a lot of dental anxiety and really don’t even want to remember any of the dental work. I was completely relaxed for the appointment and got to listen to music on noise-cancelling headphones as I fell asleep. I slept through nearly four hours of dental procedures! Imagine waking up and all of your dental work is complete! It was really quite nice. I also recommend the nitrous if you really just need to relax for an appointment and don’t need to be asleep.

In addition, Dr. Young-Trujillo utilizes new technology in numbing your teeth for procedures that is far better than the old needle injection. The new technique is completely painless, in addition, I didn’t even feel the usual pressure that you feel from an injection. Having a dentist that is dedicated to new technology and sedation/relaxation techniques guarantees that any new techniques will be incorporated as soon as safe for our benefit and comfort.

UPDATE: About a year has passed since I completed my major dental work with Dr. Young-Trujillo, and the services provided by him and his staff have continued to grow and improve. I had a dental crown from a previous dentist fall off, and Dr. Young-Trujillo was able to get me in immediately to get it re-cemented. I also just completed a dental cleaning with Daisy, and it was FANTASTIC! They have added a list of comfort items that you can use at the office to help relax, and one of those items is a small neck pillow that has made this the most comfortable dental cleaning ever! I have neck and back problems and I was entirely comfortable for the cleaning.

Also it is the little things that Dr. Young-Trujillo's office does that makes the difference from just a pleasant experience to an excellent one. One example was today when I was getting an impression done of my teeth for a night guard, some of the molding clay got on my face. Ian, the dental assistant, immediately got a warm towelette to clean off the clay. Yep, they keep towelettes warming just in case if you need to clean up a bit. Very thoughtful.

I have great dental insurance, and I could go pretty much anywhere for my dental care. I have no desire to leave Dr. Young-Trujillo's practice. They do all the small things to make your visits better, and they are always looking for new ways to improve. I highly recommend you give them a try, what do you have to lose?

The staff at High Country Dentral is amazing. The first time I went in (July 2014), I had two cavities. Being a student and having a job means I have very little time, so they took care of the cavities right then and there. They were professional, efficient, friendly, and understanding of my personal needs as a patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Young-Trujillo's office.
