Dentist Middletown - Waldron Family Smile Center

Dr. Waldron and his staff have done a fantastic job with our two kids from their first cleanings to their Orthodontic needs. Braces can be scary for kids but discussions early on
during cleanings and explaining to the kids how teeth form and how braces work helped our kids settle into wearing them right away.
The follow-up & maintenance visits have been easy. The front desk understood our insurance coverage and made our costs clear and manageable with affordable payment tools & options.

First off, these people are very nice. I generally liked the dentist that worked on my teeth. The hygienists were as professional as they could be. But everybody has different experiences and mine was a negative one. I've always had great teeth according to previous dentists I've visited. I do tend to grind my teeth while sleeping so that's a common thing I hear at the Dentist's office.

This time, I happened to have proper dental insurance so the first suggestion made to me was to fill in some gaps on my molars because if I didn't, they would develop cavities. I've never had cavities before so I was shocked to hear this. I felt it was unnecessary to drill the tooth because you're essentially doing damage to the tooth to prevent more damage in the future and thus told Dr. Waldron that I wasn't interested. Ever the salesman, Dr. Waldron convinced me to play it safe and do it anyway, so I complied.

Dr. M (I can't remember the name) performed the surgery. Overall, she did a fine job. It took some adjustments to make sure the tooth was even and that I could close my mouth properly but it was fine once it was said and done. The next suggestion was to get a dental mouth guard. My insurance covered it so I was all for it. My first and most important request was to have NO metal whatsoever on the mouth guard as I've heard metals like mercury can cause brain disease. Dr. M said that was fine. As soon as the guard came in, surely enough, it had metal in it. There were two prongs sticking out that I was afraid would scratch my teeth and do damage over time. So, I asked that the guard be made again. A request had to be made to Dr. Waldron to approve but in the meantime Dr. M was trying to convince me that the guard was fine as is. I'm sorry, but that's not what I requested initially. So they approved it and remade the guard. The new guard came in. I had a few adjustments made and everything was fine.

I expected this dentist office to be better than previous ones I've visited in town. That wasn't the case for me. Doesn't mean they'll do the same to you but I advise you as a new patient, trust your instinct and be cautious if a recommendation from the dentist doesn't sound right.

Since my long time family Dentist retired 2 years ago I needed a new dentist, I've been going to Dr Waldron's office for over a year now and very happy I found him. Every visit has been a pleasant experience. All the staff from the front desk to the clinical help is always very pleasant and caring. I've had lots of work done like crowns, root canals, and fillings and each time I felt better afterwards and he worked with me financially by helping me figure out my insurance reimbursements. One evening I had experienced extreme pain in one of my teeth. The next morning I showed up unannounced at their office at 8AM. they fit me in and Dr Waldron treated me to relieve the pain. I highly recommend Dr Waldron and his office for all your dental needs.

I've had bad experiences in Middletown with dentists. This made me apprehensive to go to another dentist for treatment. I'm so glad that I chose this dentist through my Google search. They are located less than five minutes from my home and they were so kind. From the receptionist, to the hygienist, to the dentist. They were all professional and I'm eager to return for my dental work. Thank you so much Waldron Family Smile Center!

This office I love because everyone is friendly, the service is great and there's never any issues! It's fairly small, mostly everybody knows me even though I don't go too often so that's nice when calling or walking in they greet me and it's a comfortable environment. It's a great dentist office I recommend going to!

My visit was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly. The dental hygienist Sarah explained the process every step of the way. It was a cleaning and X rays today. Good experience.

I have known Dr. Waldron since he opened this practice after my previous dentist retired from the same location. He also treats my husband, as well as my children since they were little. The fact that he is both a dentist and orthodontist was very convenient when my son needed braces in his teens and when I decided to get invisalign last spring, I didn't have to 'shop around'. I personally, not my family, had to switch providers many years ago due to my insurance and I can honestly say Dr. Waldron's professionalism and knowledge in his fields, plural, are untouchable in this area, and no, I'm not a family member, lol, he is just that good. His staff is professional and handles issues right away when they are notified of the issue, you can't just not like something and blame them without first trying to give them the chance to rectify it, you also can not fix something you're not aware of. Having said that I will tell you that this is an office that runs on time! When was the last time you went to a doctor and only waited a few minutes? This also means that if you run late it disrupts the flow so obviously they won't be thrilled but they will try to work with you, please don't blame them for trying to be efficient for all of their patients. I have been going to Dr. Waldron 20 + years and I hope he never retires so I can go 20 more!

Just had my first appointment today after 3 years of putting off my oral health for many reasons and I have to say, from start to finish everyone was absolutely lovely. The entire team made my experience a very positive one. Mary Ann and Kaitlyn knew exactly how to make sure I was as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Thank you so much to the entire team!

I am extremely afraid of the dentist.
They not only had compassion and understanding but the hygienist took the time to explain the whole process and used an excellent numbing gel.
I HIGHLY recommend this dentist.
The dentist is extremely compassionate and skilled.
