My first dental cleaning went great. Being that I suffer from vertigo and can't turn to the right, my hygienist took excellent care of me. The X- ray scan was top notch. Friendly staff and highly recommend.

My experience was very good. The staff was nice and accommodating. Dr Teresa Duo was great. She was very concerned with making me as comfortable as possible while she extracted my tooth. I would highly recommend this group to anybody looking for a dentist.

Worst dentist experience I've ever had.
1) My wife left work early and got my daughter out of school for a NEW PATIENT visit. When she got there, the office was closed- no notification. (They called my wife's cell, but didn't leave a voicemail.) Office manager let them in to reschedule. No explanation, no apology, no recognition of being inconsiderate of my wife's time, and said rescheduled appointments that were most convenient for my wife & daughter were reserved for regular patients.
2) For my NEW PATIENT visit a couple of days later, they took x-rays, did a cleaning (hygienist was excellent- only positive thing). When the dentist reviewed the x-rays with me, she said I needed a filling for a bad cavity between my teeth, but that she wouldn't be able to tell how bad until she got in there, and I may need a root canal. I declined the "treatment plan". (I'm not sure when dentists started assuming they make decisions for patients without even a conversation.) I suggested we get my x-rays from our previous dentist to see if there was evidence of this cavity on them.
3) Back up front to discuss getting x-rays from old dentist, next appointment, and "treatment plan" with office manager (dentist didn't tell her I declined the treatment plan). I missed filling out the back of one of the 3 new patient forms, so I began to do that, along with the x-ray request form. Office manager gave me the treatment plan document to sign. I told her I wasn't going to sign it because I wasn't sure I would have it done there- we were deciding on a new dentist. She told me if I wasn't going to have the filling done there, then there was no need to have the x-rays sent to them. I repeated that we were still deciding. That's when she closed all the doors and left the office area without another word, leaving me there alone in the waiting area, filling out forms. I finished the forms, waited a few minutes to see if anyone was going to come back to the office and take the forms. When no one came back to the office, I put the clipboard & forms on the desk and left.
As stated above, this was our FIRST EXPERIENCE here in our search to find a new dentist. What a terrible first impression this practice made. Rude office manager, no customer focus as whole. Worst dentist experience I've ever had.

This is a great group! They spent a lot of time educating me on the x-rays, and rational for three choices of follow up. I felt good knowing enough to make my choice. I would recommend this practice to everyone!

Asheville Family Dentistry is great! The staff welcomed me as a new customer and it's such a bright inviting office and patient area. Dr. Dao was so personable and very professional. If a trip to the dentist can be enjoyable, this is the place,! 5 stars!

Only my second time here, but very happy with them. The hygienist was very thorough and professional. Feels like the best cleaning in a few years. The front desk was very helpful contacting my insurance (new insurance this year) to get coverage and eligibility, and filling for me.
Great experience and people.

Best dental office that I have ever experienced. Best Dentist that I’ve ever seen, as well! I had a cavity and she treated me so amazingly! And especially considering that I suffer from extreme anxiety when in the chair. Thank you all so much!

This place does not deserve any stars at all the staff is extremely rude and incompetent. They have no professional skills what so ever including Dao she doesn’t deserve to have Dr. in front of her name because she’s not one. She is very inexperienced, and disrespectful she just wants any amount of money she can get from her patients without treating them. I would STRONGLY suggest you go back to radio and drink coffee at your favorite coffee spot. Your treatment of my daughter was dealt with in an unethical manner. I feel your so called passion of dentistry was a wrong path. Your staff is more concerned on their highlights and lipstick color then treating your patients with respect , care and professionalism. You may want to consider a profession in maid service.

I needed to find a new dentist because of network changes. The reviews are what made me hold out until I could get an appointment instead of other options. I was very pleased with my new patient appointment and at no time did I feel anxious. It took a while on the waiting list but I am so glad I waited.

I’ve been a client here for just over 2 years and I love the staff and service. I legitimately look forward to my semi-yearly cleanings and appointments. Highly recommend!
