Watch out for offices in network with your insurance that want to do excessive services that aren’t covered by insurance. This is one of them. Wanted to do a panoramic X-ray out the gate. Why? Because $$$$. Not because it’s needed.

This is a new dentist for me so I've been only once. The hygienist and office staff are both warm and professional. The dentist outlined and prioritized with me the work that needs to be done. I appreciate my new dentist and staff and look forward to staying with them for a long time.

I've had a lot of dentists over the years an not a one has really been all that great. Dr. Brent and his team changed that. For once in my life i'm actually excited and happy to go to the dentists office.
So for a little back story, approximately a month ago I switched to N.A.F.D so that i could get two root canal's done in my smile zone. The teeth were severely damaged and i admit i was a bit concerned if they could even be saved. The initial consult went amazingly well and Dr. Brent spent time talking with me about my concerns. I can't stress the " talking with" part enough. Seriously I felt like he sincerely cared for what i was asking and gave me some really compelling reasons why he was going with my particular treatment plan. So we make an appointment for a double root canal and I was prepared to be pretty sore and painful afterwards. I didn't experience any of that. Literally other than a slight reaction to the antibiotics afterwards, I had no pain or anything. The injections sites for the anesthetic weren't really tender for more than a day or two. That takes expert level skill in my mind. We're talking major work done. Dr. Brent sent me out to get the permanent teeth color matched, which is a first for me. Last root canal i had done, my previous dentist just ordered the color and went with it. So Today, i went in to get the permanent crowns put on and Dr. Brent did an amazing job. The color match was perfect, he took extreme care in getting them to fit correctly and make sure i was 100% happy with it. Heck, he even did a little polishing work to make sure one tooth that was stained matched everything else.
Seriously, if you need a dentist, go here. Save yourself the time and trouble. Dr. Brent and his staff are experts beyond experts. This is the kind of dentist's office and team i wish i had when i was growing up. The "family" in their name isn't just because they treat everyone, it's because you are indeed treated like Family.

Dr. Bernier is a fantastic dentist - kind, caring and competent. Relocating from West Coast, L.A. to East Coast, Asheville, was a really big switch for us. Neither my partner nor myself have ever felt more comfortable and 100% at ease with a dentist. I was a visitor in lovely Asheville. On the drive through the mountains, I broke a tooth on a pretzel, only to lose a crown on the other side an hour later! While I was fortunate to have little pain, I was distressed and without dental insurance. the team at NAFD scheduled me quickly and put me at ease. Dr. Brent was thorough and helpful, patching up a tooth so that I could eat the best of Asheville food during my vacation! Thanks for your compassionate professionalism!
