I used to be really happy with Dr.Johns service, but unfortunately, the quality of work went down, and also they claimed that they having issue with my insurance and I couldn't get another appointment for several months.

They worked great with my insurance and I didn't have to wait. Got there at 11:30 and I was in the back by 11:31.

Dr. Jones and the staff members are amazing. Dr. Jones took the time to answer all my questions/concerns and he explained everything thoroughly. The staff also checked my insurance and my out of pocket costs prior to my appointment, so I did not have any surprise costs. They are all truly great and I am happy to have found a trust worthy dentist since moving to North Carolina.

Office adhered to all COVID Protocols, very organized with scheduling, good communication, pleasant and professional. Dr. Jones gave a very thorough exam and took time to point out some dental issues that may evolve over time but no pressure to address immediately. Very pleasant experience for my first visit to the office.

I have been a patient here for two years and have had fillings and several crowns done. From someone who has a deep seated fear of the dentist, I can honestly say that with Dr. Jones I have no hesitation about doing any kind of dental work. He is very understanding, knowledgeable and professional, as are his assistants. He explains everything, and if it's not right, he makes it right. His front desk staff are also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Jones if you are in the market for a new dentist.

This office is well organized, the staff is super friendly and caring. Dr. Jones puts a LOT of effort into making sure that when you're in his chair, you're as comfortable as can be. He also does really great with making sure that you're extremely well informed, and you can tell that he puts a lot of thought and care into he plans he makes for his patients.
As long as I am living in the area, I see this as my home dentist!

This was my first visit to Park West Dental and I had a great experience. When I called to make my appointment, Megan, the front office admin, was very helpful in assisting me right away and got all the necessary paperwork emailed to me prior to my visit. Even after my visit, when I called to request some additional information, she was able to email it to me right away. Going to the dentist is never a “fun” time, so I appreciated the staff’s friendly interactions and concern that my visit went well. I did not mind waiting in my car until they were ready to do my cleaning as I completely understood the need for safety in the COVID-19 era. That let me know they prioritized everyone’s safety. Dr. Jones and his dental assistant did an excellent job putting me at ease in the chair and were always careful to explain everything that was happening during my cleaning. Dr. Jones was professional, friendly, and clearly very experienced in this field. I would gladly recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Sorry, this is long but I felt the need to be thorough.
During my first appointment with Dr. Jones, I was told I had 6 cavities that immediately needed to be filled. Given I had never in my life had a cavity, I decided to get a second opinion. I actually got 3 second opinions (I don’t play when it comes to my health!!). All three dentists said that I did not in fact have cavities.
The markings on my X-ray were all independently diagnosed by three different dentists as incipient lesions (pre-cavities or even pre-cavities that have been remineralized). Many old school dentists like to drill away at these before they get a chance to spread. The latest research supports watching these incipient lesions and attempting to remineralize the enamel to stop the spread of the decay. This can be done by means of good dental hygiene including regular flossing, fluoride treatments & prescription toothpastes. Of course, it’s not guaranteed. Drilling and filling should be a last resort if the lesion begins to spread as revealed by serial X-rays over the course of multiple visits to the dentist. A good dentist compares X-rays to see if these cavities show any changes.
I’m not a dentist nor am I attempting to give advice but I thought this was interesting. None of this was explained to me while I was getting my exam. All of this I learned from other dentists. I was just told by this office that I had 6 cavities and needed them filled as soon as possible. (Also, this may have been an honest mistake but I was told in the office that I had 6 cavities but later received an email estimate for only 5 cavities.)
I wholeheartedly believe Dr. Jones has his patients’ best interests at heart. He is very kind and immediately makes you feel comfortable. However, I believe his approach is a bit aggressive and maybe even a bit antiquated. As a nurse myself, I look for health professionals who use an approach that presents the least risks to the patient when possible while also implementing the most recent, up to date clinical research.
TLDR: Very kind dentist but if you sit down in that chair and are suddenly prescribed a lot of work (especially if you have no significant dental history), definitely get a second opinion!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Jones' for about 10 years. He is an utmost professional, and just a great man (humble, hard working, loves his family--this is his solo practice). He's the first dentist who checked underneath my tongue for cancer, and on a set of x-rays even pointed out that I had clogged maxillary sinus. I have moved since I started with him but refuse to switch providers. Happy to drive from northern Hillsborough to see Dr. Jones.

So the office look inside is a little shabby and outdated, but don’t let that deter you. The office staff seems to be knowledgeable, and the hygienist was fine, but the dentist is why you come here. Dr Mark Jones is excellent at what he does. I came in briefly for a problem with an old filling, and after taking an X-ray, he was able to explain to me exactly what was going on and get it fixed quickly. He has the latest and greatest equipment, and you can tell it’s important to him that he stays up to date with new techniques and procedures. I moved to the area about 3 years ago, and he’s the first dentist I found to be patient, knowledgeable, skilled, and relatable. You don’t feel judged, but you do feel cared for. He listened to me, and would explain what he was doing step by step so I would feel more comfortable. (Also, he used the numbing gel before the actual shot, so I ended up hardly feeling the shots at all. Most dentists I’ve been to don’t even bother with the gel, but he makes a point to keep the entire experience as pleasant as possible!) I’m not sure what the hygienist will be like for the cleaning, but with a dentist like that, I’m willing to take the gamble. I scheduled my next cleaning before even leaving the office. Check him out, you will not be disappointed.
