The staff here was very nice, and the dentist and dental hygienist were very gentle. The financial policies however, are completely out of wack. Seriously, read carefully through what you are signing. What originally caught my attention was that you have to pay $30 to have your dental records released. I knew going into my visit that I would be moving across the state in a month, so I would have no choice but to switch dentists and would need my records to go with me. The receptionist apologized, but said there was nothing she could do. I brushed it off saying “I guess I won’t really need them anyways, since I’m just here for a check-up and cleaning”, to which she responds “they’re also going to do x-rays”. I tell her I had X-rays recently, that I don’t feel like I need them again, hadn’t planned the time to get them done, and that I wasn’t even sure my insurance would cover it. But she said not to worry that they’d check it before doing the X-rays, ignoring my clear hesitation that they were unnecessary.
Okay fine, so when I get into the room I tell the hygienist I just had X-rays recently and don’t think I need them again. And get the same answer, insurance says they were long enough ago that they are covered. At this point I feel like they are way more interested in collecting the insurance money than determining whether or not they are really necessary. Maybe they just misunderstood.
Within two minutes another 2 services are put infront of me that are not covered by insurance, fluoride (okay, that’s fine), and a cancer screening (even after she goes through the list of risk factors and confirms I don’t have any of them). I’m just trying to get through the visit at this point. But then they find cavities, “small ones” but apparently ones we should address now. And by now they meant right then and there. The hygienist starts prepping for fillings without even asking me if I wanted them filled, a huge time and financial commitment. After I tell her I don’t have time, it’s already 2 hours into a 1 hour visit and I have to get back to work, I wait for another 15 minutes alone in the room as she “lets the lady at the front know I’m ready”. When I get to that women she also assumes I’m getting the filings today (only later in the day) and asks for payment. It’s only after I tell her I’m not getting them today and that I just want to pay for the fluoride and leave that I’m able to get out of there.
Meanwhile they still have my records hostage, which now include my annual X-rays. It’s such a shame, because if they weren’t trying to push services so hard they would be a great place to go. But that’s just not the case.

After a year I get a collection notice saying I have an unpaid balance but I find that very hard to believe when I paid nearly $400 at my last cleaning for what wasn’t covered by my insurance. I never received any bills in the mail or any notice of an unpaid balance until now. They have my address and my phone number. They’ve surly called me to reschedule my upcoming cleaning but never ONCE mentioned anything about owing any money. This is ridiculous. Screwing with someone’s credit before even following standard procedures. Their billing dept is absolute trash.

Friendly Staff, and excellent service! I thought I only had some gaps on my top teeth, after my cleaning turns out I have gaps on my bottom teeth. The team did a great cleaning and created a game plan for me to get my smile where I want it to be! Thank you Angie, Shaniqua & Dr. Haynes!

Don't be fooled by the 4 & 5 star reviews like I was, they have over priced procedures and horrible accounting practices. Back in May of last year I had a root canal and crown done which took like 3 hours and after $1200 paid by insurance and $1200 out of pocket up front the out of pocket for the visit was around $1545, which is really unheard of for this common procedure, usually around $600 out of pocket. Needless to say they billed for $100 in June (I paid) then the balance of $245 in July. I must have missed the bill so I received an email from them saying that I needed to pay the $245. I called and gave them my card info over the phone for them to process the payment and received an email saying that my bill was settled and I no longer have a balance due. Fast forward to two months ago I started receiving collection calls for a $48 and made several calls to their Davis Lake office in an attempt to get an unserstanding as to why I am being contacted by a collection agency but noone ever called back, then I get a call today from another collection agency saying I have an unpaid balance of over $148 from a visit in August 2018. But the funny thing is I never visited their office in August and I never received an email or bill from them telling me that I have these unpaid balances. If these were true balances why wouldn't they email or call me to let me know like they did initially? I never went to their office again because I felt that I was over charged for the procedure I had in May. I have no problem paying what I owe, but they are attempting to collect money for procedures that I never had done. And from reading the comments I am not the only person this has happened to. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE at all. Either they are hiring unethical people or they have a problem with their accounting. If you choose this dental office pay close attention to your visiting dates and make sure you get itemized receipts and email confirmations of payments so if you get a call a year later from a collection company you can dispute it.

I originally came to the other office in 2014 to have some dental work done. I was very please with the dental work that was done and I can say that the doctor met my expectation. Most recently I was in the university office to have a dental repair done and I can say once again I was very please again with the work.
