Mountain View Family Dentistry

I moved to the area 3 years ago. I have had a number of dental problems in the past. One of the most concerning aspects of moving is finding a good doctor and dentist. It was important for me to find an excellent dentist who is caring, kind and honest. I found that dentist in Dr. Carnaggio. He explains each procedure and any options I may have. His staff is extremely warm, friendly and sensitive to my needs. I have had a few emergencies and his staff has scheduled me in a timely manner. He has also sent me to specialists for evaluation and has followed up to determine a plan of action. I am happy to say that Dr. Carnaggio is now my dentist.

Dr. Carnaggio is an exceptional dentist! He is very patient, kind and professional. He explains everything that he is doing and listens to my needs. I am never in any pain and I feel very confident with his care and his recommendations. I am so glad I found Dr. Carnaggio! I actually travel 1 hour to see him and it has been worth it! :-)

His staff is also friendly and kind and a pleasure to talk with! I wholeheartedly recommend Mountainview Family Dentistry to everyone! :-)

Dr Lorigan is a people person and will work with your needs 100% to the fullest. She knows what she's doing and very professional. I enjoy the service.

Excellent staff who are so friendly and always there to help and answer any questions. The dentists themselves are great as well. Good bedside manner so to say with information to help.

The doctors and staff are compassionate and excellent at what they do. I've been several times, and each time as soon as I sit down in the waiting room I'm called back for my procedure. I wish all of my Healthcare was this efficient

One of the most through dentist I have seen in a long time. Staff was super nice and answered all of my question. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend them.

I'm new to the area and have been to this practice twice, once for a new patient exam and again for a possible filling/root canal. Both times I have left in tears because of the way I was treated.

The only dentist that I have seen is Dr. Carnaggio and, while I cannot say that he was personally rude to me, the ethics that his facility practices are absurd to say the least.

During my first visit, I saw seven different assistants come into my room. Three of them actually introduced themselves to me, worked on my teeth, and assisted Dr. Carnaggio. The other four were random woman that felt like they could just come rade my file without introducing themselves to me, explaining what they were doing in my file, or even saying a word to me. One actually had the audacity to snicker while reading it.

I understand that my teeth are in poor condition, but the fact that no one asked why and made judgemental comments about my teeth was embarassing and unappreciated. Had they asked, they would have found out that I was not given my first tooth brush until the age of 7, was lucky to get soda and a candy bar for dinner, and had gingivitis during my first pregnancy. I have done everything in my power as an adult to reverse what has been done, but there is only so much I can do.

As if that wasn't enough, after my X-ray, THREE of the women came back into the room to hear Dr. Carnaggio tell me that I may need a filling or a root canal. I'm still puzzled as to why he felt like this audience was appropriate.

During the closing of our session, Dr. Carnaggio told me that HE would teat me "like family" during my filling because I'm pregnant. Apparently he does not feel comfortable treating pregnant women, which is perfectly fine with me because I do not want a dentist to be uncomfortable while drilling my teeth; however, when I returned for my visit at 8 am, the receptionist informed me that he "does NOT work on pregnant women". When I told her that HE was the one who said he was going to do this procedure, she asked him, and he denied having said anything of the sort to me. I guess I just imagined the entire visit.

Regardless of who misunderstood, it was a mistake the receptionist should have caught from the start. Or at least during one of the two calls they gave me confirming my appointment "for a filling with Dr. Carnaggio" while looking at my file that says, "PATIENT IS PREGNANT".

To top it all off, the receptionist had the audacity to tell me that I must have misunderstood Dr. Carnaggio and then tried to reschedule me for an appointment with a different dentist that I didn't even know worked there -obviously someone that I had never met.

I chose to see Dr. Carnaggio because I saw him with my husband and thought he was kind. I feel vastly mistaken and can only hope that people will reconsider this office. As I said before, he was never personally rude to me, but allowing this kind of treatment and disorganization to happen at not one, but two visits, is absurd.

After I told the receptionist that I would be changing dentists, Dr. Carnaggio had his receptionist call me and tell me to call him back, "he wanted to speak with me". I returned his call within the hour, was told he would call back promptly, and never heard back. Obviously, I wasn't important enough to at least be apologized to.

Spare yourself. Go with a small practice that doesn't have 15 assistants running wild and chose a dentist that feels comfortable in his own skin. Oh, and always tripple check your appointments so you don't waste $50 on a sitter for an appointment that was never supposed to happen in the first place.

I love Dr Lorigan! She is the best! When she numbs you, you don't really feel it bc of the way she wiggles your check. The staff is also nice and friendly!

My appointment was honored promptly. The staff was very friendly. My problem was taken care of immediately. The prices were reasonable. An overall good experience at My. View Family Dentistry.
