Charged me twice for the same service. Then told me I didn’t pay for it at all. Had to get bank statements and records to prove I paired!! Then they only reimbursed me back half because I canceled/ couldn’t pay for the appointment, when I had already pairs them twice

I had high hopes for Aspen Dental in Bismarck. I had one exam and have personally stopped in and submitted my insurance information with the hope that I could get a treatment plan along with what the cost options would be for dentures. I waited and heard nothing. I called again and did receive a call back by the receptionist. She indicated that I would here back either via phone or email. Weeks have now transpired and I have heard nothing.

I am beginning to think that I am being singled out as someone they do not want to do business with. I can only guess why that might be the case. Strange because I have the ability to pay just like anyone else.

I go home and continue to see the advertising that they run on TV. Obviously I am not the target market they are looking for. For those of you reading this I am a gainfully employed 63 year old white male.

I meant to quiet a few dentists in the past, unfortunately, and I have heard of Aspen Dental in Colorado, never really checked into them because I had my own dentist, so I decided to contact them about some dental work. Outstanding customer service! From the initial phone call, to the entire procedure. Very well organized. I felt so relaxed about having dental work done. They were very professional, all the staff, I really appreciated the fact that there isn't any hidden fees, and options are available for payment. Outstanding job! I highly recommend Aspen Dental.

We had such an amazing experience at our appointment for my daughter. The hygienist Courtney and the lady she was training were so caring and genial with my daughter. She unfortunately had a filling and the doctor was able to see her as well. This saved so much time in my schedule so we didn’t have to come back for another visit. Thank you so much!! The whole office had such a great rapport and made coming to the dentist fun!!

Absolutely disappointed in the way this company operates. We went in for our first time check up. They offered my fiancé finance for the work he needed to have done and pushed him out the door. (He did not know this was care credit and considered a loan). He thought it was an in house type of finance that they offered (like we just experienced with ortho). This was not explained to him at all. As soon as I got an email from this care credit explaining we just opened an account with them I called to speak with a manager to discuss what happened. Nobody was available so they took my number and said someone would get back to us when they had time.

The next day I called back to speak with someone again. A different lady answered and we ended up leaving another message.

For the next 2 weeks we tried emails to reach someone and we called 5 times to talk to a manager. No one was available. And 0 phone calls back.

I will be reporting this location to the Better Of Business Bereau.

One cannot run a business this way. You will run it to the ground. I hear this location already has a bad rep and I'm new to this area. Bad people get a bad name. Enjoy the review. No need to respond now.

I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for the unpleasant initial contact.

I arrive at 10:38am for a 10:45 appointment. The lady who attended to me said I was a little bit late, that my appointment was for 10:30, and that they were gonna try and fit me in because their schedule was tight. So I was like, oh so eight minutes late? And I thought to myself, I'm pretty sure my appointment was for 10:45. So I dig out my phone and find the email that said my appointment was for 10:45 and shove it in the lady's face (not literally but in my mind I was shoving it in her face). Did I get an apology? No, I did not.

However, my dentist, hygienist, and the ladies who did my x-rays gave me SUPERB service (I'm sorry I forgot your names already), and lastly Jen Patera (manager) apologized to me for their scheduling system messing up and was very professional, courteous, and pleasant.

Having said all that, I would definitely recommend this place. They give you a breakdown of everything they plan to do for you, insurance, cost and all.

Made appointment because of insurance change, but decided to pay higher “out of network” rate rather than use Aspen. First appointment available to have a tooth filled was almost a YEAR out (>11 months!). Charges significantly higher than allowable charge set by insurance. (Out of pocket for same procedure >$900 vs $160 with previous dentist.) My husband & I both felt like our visit was a “sales pitch” from the moment we walked in the door.

I hadn't been to the dentist in a shameful amount of time, but the staff didn't make me feel bad at all. They were kind and non judgmental. I was especially pleased that all the staff who helped me were female. Personally, that made me more comfortable.

I liked this hygenist better than the last time. Willingness to work with what I wanted for my dental health care were more accommodating instead of feeling overwhelmed with all they tried to sell and add charges for at my first visit, when all I wanted was just a cleaning. Much better this time. Just had to wait quite a while in the room til the cleaning was started, but hygenist explained why.
