I had terrible TMJ when I first went to see Dr. Hornstien. For over a year, my jaw had been locked closed. I was in constant pain and unable to eat sandwiches, bagels, or drink through a straw. I was taking Advil around the clock. I had seen 3 dentists, a physical therapist, and I had tried muscle relaxers and steroids to help. I was about to resort to surgery when someone recommended I make one more stop before surgery. The office stayed late to get me in the day before my scheduled surgery and he called in colleagues to get other professional opinions. Everyone at the office was great and friendly. I have avoided surgery and I haven't needed Advil for pain in weeks. If you are looking for a dentist who is going to do whatever it takes to get you the best results, you should see Dr. Hornstien and his associates. They are all amazing, especially Annette, who has come in on her days off to help me become pain free. None of my treatments have been permanent, so if I need surgery down the road, it is still an option, but I have been able to put it off with stunning results. I cannot thank the Center for Advanced Dentistry enough. I would recommend them to everyone.
