Stay away from this pansy place if u cherish your well being!!! High end equipment and nice receptionist big cover for very questionable medical stuff. My family were patients 3 years. One filling on my husband fell out in a year, my fillings one bulges and second still have pain as I bite food. During cleaning on my mother had a big nick on gum went infected. But the latest NEWS FLASH was when her gum where 6 month ago they pulled tooth out went infected and imaging showed Dr Thundra LEFT ENTIRE ROOT INSIDE!!! Now she has to have surgery to remove it. But Dr. Thundra has excuses for every cause! Like I pulled whole tooth and it must of been rare case of having deformity like extra root... Really???

I have been to Optimal Family Dental several times in the last few months and have not dreaded a single visit! The Dr's and all of the staff are always professional and personable and do a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic dentist .

This place is a GEM. First of all, let me just say that I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. I used to cancel appts and dreaded cleanings because my teeth were so sensitive. But everyone and everything at OFD, from the receptionists to the bright, yellow walls, is so cheery and nice that it really puts my mind at ease. I’m sure all of the dental hygienists are fantastic, but Shawna has been my hygienist for the last three years and she is amazing and the best hygienist i’ve ever had! She’s really worked with me to decrease my teeth sensitivity. She’s also just a great person. Dr Thunga is super nice and highly competent. It’s just a great office and even though I live an hour away, I will continue to make the drive while I live in the area. If you are looking for a dentist then I really can’t recommend OFD enough!!

If your looking for a new dentist Dr. Thunga or I call her Dr.T is one of the best. The staff as well as her assistants are always friendly and you feel welcome when you walk in the door!! Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart for keeping my anxiety down!

My root canal was messed up. My fillings all had to be redone and were causing me pain. Don't go here. Absolutely horrific what they did to my teeth....i am terrified of dentists and was reffered to optimal family dental and drove 45 minutes to each appointment because I was assured this was a great dentist office. They try to cram so many people into appointments that you wait months before being seen. Horrible for emergency cases. I lost 2 front fillings litterally 2 days after getting them done. They rush you and have to meet a time limit per appointment. If it cuts close to that time they will rush and mess things up. Not worth it.

Least professional dental visit I have ever been to. My son became terrified when the Hygienist recommended a procedure. I asked if we could speak privately to discuss the options and she then informed me that my son was old enough to understand the treatment and what to expect. Respectfully, this is not her decision to make, she is NOT the parent of my son (thank god). If a guardian requests privacy it should be offered, not refused. The office staff were very helpful, and I liked the actual Dentist. However the Hygienist was completely unprofessional and had no right to tell me how to parent my son.

very very bad experience there. we did a teeth cleaning several years ago and insurance covers that service at that time. they did not send us any bill and saying anything about we need to pay for the teeth cleaning. several years later, we suddenly got a bill from the collection company said that we should pay 300 dollars for the teeth cleaning there. called them and they said have fine to deal with the collection company. very very bad experience. never go there again.

My wife and I were both looking for a dentist in our area and came across Optimal Dental in the Mason, Ohiio area. From the moment we walked in on Judy's first appointment we found the office staff to be very friendly and treated us with beautiful beautiful smiles. The office was very clean and very customer friendly. Dr. Thunga was just excellent. Judy needed a 4 point bridge, cleaning and a cavity filled. I needed a extraction and filling and cleaning. We both need to go back to finish the work that was started.
I would highly recommend this office, location and the very knowledgeable staff and doctor.

Front desk staff (Vicky especially) is very unprofessional. Typical place getting all you and your money from insurance. Unnecessary procedures have been giving to many of my referrals to this office. One min they aren't excepting new patients and the next they are. I've even witness angry customers in waiting lobby as I'm waiting to be seen. That was my first experience and that should have been my last!

I have been going to this dentist for a few months now and I really like it. I’ll be blunt I HATE the dentist, I mean most people do but they truly make it a good experience! I have a problem with my teeth and no matter how much I try to take care of them, how much I brush, floss or anything they need a lot of work done. Every time I go in I am welcomed by the amazing ladies at the front desk who automatically sign me in without me even having to give them my name. Everyone there always seems to be in a good mood regardless of what their day could have handed them, and they’re always interested in your day and how you are doing. Everyone there truly makes the experience 100 times better, and they always are trying to help and figure out what is best for you. I highly recommend them!
