This was my first time visiting this office for an extraction. Shelby and Kelsey went above and beyond in answering questions I had and were super nice and comforting. Very professional and personable. Dr. Steve Shufflebarger is great! Quick and painless procedure.

The only thing I have to complain about is the rush job you get. There was no time for questions and no interest from the dentist in answering them if you do have any. I can't even say what the dentist looks like. He was a blur! But at least you don't have to wait long! The dental assistants were nice.

So I just feel obligated to comment on the review below by Ronda Bennet. My family was there when this lady was "being treated terrible" by the staff. What she failed to mention in her review, was how rude she was to not only the staff, but to everybody else that was there. She was asked to sit down to fill out her paperwork, so other patients could get to the receptionist. She stated that she was comfortable where she was at and refused to get out of the way. Her appointment was at 9 and was asking at 9:05 how long it was going to be. When it was explained to her that after she got done filling out the paperwork there was task that they had to do, she was very rude and hateful at the response she got. The staff was in my opinion VERY POLITE to this underserving person. The bad thing was that her own mother had to be a witness to the way her own daughter was acting. I can honestly say that the staff was way more patient then I would have ever been. After she called the receptionist a "B----" and threw a pen at her, I think they should have called the police. My experiences at Troy Family Dental have always been awesome. The Dentist and his staff deserve a pat on the back for their service to my family. They deserve my 5 star rating.

This place is awful. They are open one Sunday per month or so and that's the last time I went. Understandably it was VERY busy. But that does not justify how I was treated as a patient. The office staff there is mediocre and have very little people skills. But the worst part was the provider himself. My teeth were not thoroughly cleaned as they have been in the past there and the dentist was careless. I was white knuckling the arm handles on the exam chair from pain. He left the suction hose in my mouth, grabbed my file and walked out. Didn't say a word! Finally an assistant came in and I asked if I was done. She said yes. Ok, good to know... I walked out of there without saying a word. I can't believe I thought about bringing my son there for his first dentist appointment. There was a mom in the waiting room and I overheard it was her child's first visit to the dentist. I really hope he was treated with more respect than I was.

Was there on the 17th of this month (July). Worst experience ever. Didn't do full ex-ray like I have had in past with previous dentist. Was told they do a new way of cleaning using like a water jet or pick and that did not happen. Cleaning was half ass and painful. Right after the dr. Did two fillings which I feel he seriously rushed through. One tooth he filled was never bothering me before but sense he filled it I have been in constant pain ever sense. The exam room was about the size of a broom closet. No assistant in the room to assist the dr. Like most dental offices. Would not recommend to anyone ever.

Troy Family Dental is great! They got me in the same day I called and even were able to do a couple fillings for me right then and there. The assistant treated me as if she was my mom :) Very satisfied with Dr. Berk and the staff. Thanks guys!

I don't even want to give one star, I walked in for my 79 year old mom New Patient and was treated terrible! I Asked two questions If the Dr was running late. and if I could have the intake form back because I forgot to circle some questions on the back..., ~ The dental Hygienist was talking to the Dr. down the hallway and the Doctor actually opened the door to me where I tried to give him the paper and was thinking he was going to ask us in .. When what he said was "ARE YOU COMPLAINING?" agressively, I was surprised at this and said "No, But I can." with that He told me to go somewhere else, to Leave Now.! I was surprised by this Scene he was creating in his Own office!!! I actually couldnt believe he was serious so I asked " Are you kicking me out?" REALLY?
When I asked what HIS name was he told me to go or he'd call the police!
Im the type that looks for the good in all things and actually consider people having a bad day and try not to react emotionally. Hence calming down from the Shock of what happened I decided to call the Ohio Dental Board to report this business .. and now leaving this review. People like this do NOT deserve to make a living working with People if they have Zero tolerance or compassion for the potential client/ patient walking in the door. SHAME on YOU TROY FAMILY DENTAL your name creates a unity that is NOT TRUE ... you are NOT the dentist Id want for MY family!

When making an appointment for a 4 and 6 year old they don't tell you that only the patient is allowed in the room. When I called I specifically asked if they saw children regularly. When you get to the office and ask if the sign stating only the patient is allowed in the room applies to small children, because if it does you don't want to waste your time filling paperwork out you're told you can be right outside the door. When it comes time for the appointment you're told you're not allowed to go back with your children. We ended up leaving because obviously 4 and 6 are way too young to be seen alone. This could all be avoided if they would let you know when making the appointment what their policy is. I would think anyone with small children wouldn't feel comfortable sending them back alone.
