I've gone to this location for three regular six-month checkups and dental cleanings in the past, and the dentist and hygienists here are excellent. (They take MetLife here, but I cannot say which other networks they are in.) The hygienists are very up-to-date on dental health and cavity prevention and will give tips for you on what to do to keep your teeth and guns healthy.

Dr. Orr is also a very sweet man who always puts a lot of effort to your needs. He wants his patients to be informed on their health, and he makes the experience at the dentist as comfortable as possible.

My husband and I are both patients of Dr Orr and Dr Wilson. Appointments are always easy to schedule and work well with our schedules. Always on time for any scheduled work. The staff is always so friendly and take time to explain any concern over a procedure. We love DR Orr, DR Wilson, and their staff so much that we kept them as or dental professionals even when we moved to the West side!

I've been with Dr. Orr for 15 plus years, and I can truly say that he is an amazing dentist who truly cares about his patients well being. I had a very bad phobia of going to the dentist. Dr. Orr showed patience and understanding of my phobia , and I am forever grateful for my not only my dentist but my friend forever. He loves cutting edge dental technology that reduces pain and promotes faster healing. I had three implants installed with ZERO PAIN the following day! I highly recommend him for your dental care.

Dr Orr placed a crown in my mouth which was obviously for a child... probably was originally for another patient He said the space would soon accommodate the tooth. Though I didn't know how that would happen, I thought at that time he was a decent man and would honor his word if it did not work out as he stated. Months later the "little tooth" was still that. When I called for an appointment to discuss it, Dr Orr said he wasn't the only dentist in town and I should find another one! Quite a turn around from this dentist I had trusted for years.

I had a dentist that I've gone to for many years and that I liked very much, but it was getting too expensive. I needed to find a dental practice "in network." I was hesitant to let anybody new poke around in my mouth. After my husband (who hates going to the dentist, btw) told me how comfortable he felt here, I thought I'd give it a shot. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had at the dentist! Dr. Orr, Dr. Wilson, assistants, techs, and staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Orr discovered long-time issues with my bite that my old dentist never addressed (despite several complaints). For the first time in years, there's been a reduction of jaw/mouth pain. I can't believe I found such a wonderful practice!!

A colleague recommended Drs. Orr and Wilson when my husband and I were not happy with our previous dentist. Recently, I had a toothache, and they were able to fit me in later the same day I called. After performing a 3D scan, Dr. Orr carefully led me through the findings and explained everything. I appreciate how both doctors are very calm and measured when explaining things, and both seem very nice, caring, and friendly. Dr. Orr definitely seems to know his stuff, and the office uses up-to-date technology. He also didn't hesitate to refer me to an endodontist for more complicated matters. All in all, I've been surprised with how happy I've been with this office.

The staff are very knowledgeable and take time to explain in detail each step of the process in a way that is easy to understand. I learned more in 3 visits to this office than I have in all dental visits over the course of my life. I was in a lot of pain when I first came in and very nervous about the state of my teeth which I knew were in bad shape. Dr. Orr put my mind at ease and took time to explain a plan to restore my teeth. I highly recommend University Dental Associates!

Be Cautious:

On June 17, 2016, Dr. Orr offered to put two provisional crowns on my teeth and promised to credit me back the charged amount when I come back to his clinic to install two permanent crowns on the same teeth in 2017. I trusted him and accepted his offer. Unfortunately, on Feb 20, 2017, while I was at his clinic, he declined to keep his promise, citing economic reasons. A lot of my money and time were wasted because of this.

Another complaint I have at Dr. Orr’s office is the waiting time. Dr. Orr has a tendency to see many patients at once. While this is not uncommon in general dentistry, I had spent too much unnecessary waiting time at his clinic.

Asides from the above two points, Dr. Orr is a reasonably good dentist. Perhaps he is under pressure or otherwise he wouldn’t be conducting such kind of behavior. However, if this happened to me then it could happen to anybody. Be cautious.

Dr. Orr is an experienced dentist that I trust. He knows what he's doing, and so does the rest of the staff. I really appreciated how patient he was with me when I had a tooth that was sensitive. He asked good questions to figure out exactly what was wrong. After several months of watching the tooth, he put a medicated filling on it. It still grew more sensitive. Finally, he said he felt comfortable doing the root canal and confirmed the tooth had been dead. I liked that Dr. Orr and his staff explained everything clearly to me and helped me feel comfortable. They also were very clear about costs and what my insurance would cover.

The service and work was great. They were closed a lot during covid. They also had issues with billing with insurance companies and tried charging me $150 out of pocket then increased it to $200 when I spoke with my insurance company at the time and even had them speak to them while I was in person 2x and on 3 way. The claim was supposed to be resubmitted and never was. I called today to schedule a cleaning since I was not contacted about them reopening. Made the appointment and discussed yet again with Dr. Pat about the balance that should have been resubmitted to an insurance company two years prior that I no longer have. Set an appointment for two weeks from today for Dr. Orr to contact me personally and not even hear my out about the claim and he hung up in my face while I was talking. Not sure if he was having a bad day because he was always so pleasant but this is not how you conduct business with ANY CUSTOMER. I have referred several people there in the past and will not do so anymore. Horrible customer service!
