Dr. Prates and his whole staff are amazing! We moved to Hood River in March, and we’re worried about finding a provider that could top our last dentist in Happy Valley (who we were with for over 3 years); we were so thankful to have Heights Family Dentist right down the street from us. Everyone is AMAZING. Dr. Prates describes everything in layman’s terms. He was professional, but not stuffy and put me at ease right away. He, definitely, seems to have a good soul. The ladies in reception were, both, very nice and Dr. Prates assistant was very knowledgeable. It was nice to receive a voice mail and text message, the next day, inquiring on how I was feeling. I feel like I have, most certainly, found my new dentist.

I honestly don’t like going to the dentist and will put it off til’ the last minute and I know that’s awful but with that said I know I have an infection and right away the front desk helped me out and set me up ASAP and got me in. Dr. Prates was amazing and took his time to explain things to me and helped me understand things. And I absolutely loved Carol! Super awesome women. I definitely recommend Heights Family Dental! Had a filling replaced recently to close an open contact area that was painfully trapping food and really making it pretty miserable to chew some days.
Dr. Prates did a great job of assessing the problem, suggesting a solution, then replacing the filling under local anesthesia (injected almost painlessly, I might add).
It's worked like a charm . . . I'm so pleased with the results: I can eat and chew without pain in that spot anymore! And the cost of the procedure was very reasonable.
5 stars!!
