Gentle Dental Oregon City

Lets see. Called in to get my daughter in. Had to make an appointment with their clackamas location. Then another appointment at their Portland location then another appointment at the Oregon city location for 1 procedure for my 11 year old daughter. I come in and am told it will cost over $500. After I've already spent over $200. Been to multiple locations not being told how each dentist doesn't do certain procedures until after I'm there. Then when I go into a 3rd location for the 3rd time in a month and I complain about the cost I am then told there is a cheaper procedure but the dentist there won't do it. I try to make another appointment and nothing is working. So I say fine let's just do it. The dentist REFUSES. It actually gets worse than that and I've been lied to by them. Horrible experience to say the least. Shame on you Gentle Dental. Dr. Young in particular. This all happened in April of 2018. Find a different dentist office!

I've been going here for years. I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Young and he did an amazing job. They're always very accommodating of my schedule and the staff are all super friendly.

I had a wonderful experience, the staff was very professional, warm, and friendly. I felt very at ease during my exam. The doctor was very knowledgeable and efficient. I would highly recommend Oregon city genial dental to anyone looking for dental care!

This Gentle Dental office does not provide appropriate care to patients with Celiac disease. My wife has it, and attended, listing Celiac on her entry forms. All the same, that day, her mouth was rinsed with a solution that contained gluten and she experienced symptoms. I contacted the office not to accuse them, but merely to inform them and to try to work with them to keep her safe on the next visit. Still, they oddly denied having rinsed her mouth and weren't interested in examining whether this information could be used to prevent glutening the next person. Upon requesting the ingredients of the products that would be in the next visit, they were very vague like, "It doesn't have gluten" although the product had "flavoring" in it, or they'd give product names like "prophy paste", which it turns out is a generic term for over 20 different brands, making it impossible for me to look up the ingredients. Changing tactics, I asked if they could use products that we requested that we knew to be gluten free, and they said flatly, no. They also stated that if we "refused" or then corrected themselves to say "couldn't take" ioRinse, they would not provide my wife with care.

We were not trying to be difficult, Celiac disease is a very real medical diagnosis and being glutened can have serious consequences. They don't seem to really understand the condition, or what it means to have gluten in a product. Instead, of returning, we posted to a Celiac group on Facebook and were eventually referred to Dr. Seuss at Clackamas Smiles. We recommend that if you have Celiac disease, don't go to Gentle Dental for even an initial assessment, because they will gluten you and they don't care.

I scheduled a day off from work for my visit to gentle dental.my last visit they said I would only pay twenty some dollar to have my next visit.when I came for that next visit they said my dental insurance would not cover it so it cost 109 dollars because it only covers every 6 months so they wasted my time and my gas. I rescheduled but I decided to call and cancel that next visit and I'm just going to take my business else where.

I liked this place it was mediocre that is until my last visit. the lady who cleaned my teeth was measuring my sockets deeper than they actually are, then she tried to pressure sell me some mouth wash that I didn't really need. then the tooth brush she gave me rips my gums apart which I feel like she did intentionally to back up the false claim she made about my gums. I'm going to find a new dentist mostly becuase of this crazy lady the service was alright prior to this but not good enough to justify this fat ladies pressure sales tactics

Gentle Dental in OC always shows professionalism and caring towards their patients. They are transparent with costs, and honest about what is needed. They are true artists of dentistry. A+++

I took my oldest daughter here back in 2011. The visits were great, she was treated with great care and she loved her dentist.
On her first visit I provided them with our insurance information. At the completion of each of her visits payment was made for the amount our insurance did not cover.
One year from her last visit I received a bill for over $250. I called and spoke to a receptionist, she stated they made a mistake and billed the wrong insurance, and now the insurance will not cover anything since it had been so long from the visit. The Gentle Dental employee I spoke to told me not to pay the bill and they will write it off. Well now over 2 years from my daughters last visit I received a call from a collections agency wanting to collect payment from Gentle Dental. The collection agency told me it needs to be cleared up with Gentle Dental to avoid negative impact to my credit rating. I called Gentle Dental today to try to resolve the issue. The woman I spoke to said once a bill goes to collections they have nothing they can do at the office. She said she would speak to her business manager and see what could be done, I told her I will be calling back later today to see what can be done. I called a few hours later and spoke to a different receptionist who told me the business manager has had the entire day off and will not be in until Monday morning.
So far this has been a much larger headache than expected. The receptionists seem very cold and unwilling to help.

I had an appointment here and everyone was VERY friendly. The dentist and the hygienist both took the time to explain everything to me so I left feeling very educated. The front desk gals were also extremely helpful. My only issue was they had a scheduling conflict and asked me to move my appointment the day of which luckily I could do. I am very happy with this place.

My worst dental experience in my life, i went for normal cleaning, so they had me wait for 40 minutes after an x-ray and then they wanted to do deep cleaning for a lot of money so when i said i can't afford it they cleaned my teeth for 5 mins and they said ok you are done and they didn't even give me the free toothbrush. Never again and i will make sure no one of my family and friends go there.
