Dr. Rodriguez (Robert) is so genuine and real and thorough in his work. He will ensure the best, most supportive care to his patients. I have had horrific experiences in the past with dentists and Robert and his just as magnificent team from front desk to dental hygienists are the best I've EVER MET! They were willing to treat me with patience and understanding and provide genuine and hopeful feedback. We don't have enough hope sometimes when we're faced with challenges that we trust specialists to support us through. This team truly saved my sense of hope when other offices only offered to pull more teeth. They helped with my anxiety and provided truly effective and long lasting services. Robert also took into account my history creating immense anxiety for me and developed a treatment plan that addressed all of my needs in one fell swoop (this is just my experience, if it's not something that works for everyone, I understand and I simply mean to highlight the fact that he met my specific concerns).

I took two weeks for me to cool down before writing this 2-star review, so here goes. Dr. Rodriguez practice seems alright. My family has been there twice for our toddler's dental care. Dr. Rodriguez himself seems like a perfectly nice person.

However, I'm writing this in early 2022, while the country is still in the midst of an ongoing pandemic. While my daughter and I were visiting in January and waiting in the lobby (the office was running 20 minutes behind taking us back), a family of three walked in completely unmasked. My daughter and I, who were masked, moved to the other end of the waiting room and I decided to give them a minute to realize they needed to mask up. They check in, sit down, and seem perfectly happy to remain unmasked for five more minutes. I figure it's time to say something, so I glance to the receptionist and realize that...wait...she's not wearing a mask either!

Before I can say anything, we're finally called back to our appointment by a dental hygienist who is responsibly masked. As we're walking back, I ask "do you have a mask policy here? Because my daughter and I were the only ones wearing face masks in the entire lobby." She responds, "Oh my gosh. Yes, we do." and mentions that she'll go say something.

Well, we have our whole appointment, see the doctor, and as we're coming out all the same people are still there — the family and the receptionist — all still unmasked. I took my 2-year-old and basically ran to the car.

I'm not a confrontational person and I don't want my daughter to ever have to see her dad get angry at someone, but I was very, very close to having an outburst that day. For a minute, I thought I might call the office to put in a complaint about the whole situation, but the problem is that the person answering the phone is the gatekeeper for the office. I tried to find an alternate way to contact the office or the doctor, but the website provides no email or general contact form (you can only request to book an appointment). So, leaving this review is my only option to both make the office aware AND — more importantly — let other visiting families know that this practice can't be counted on to enforce local mandates and keep children safe.

I worry that some readers will think I'm overreacting, but when children under five don't even have the option to be vaccinated, it's a serious and potentially life-threatening thing. My experience here has all but guaranteed we won't be coming back. It's simply not safe.

They are an amazing team who love each one of their clients like family. My family and I are so thankful for Doctor Robert and his whole staff who go the extra mile for us! My daughters boyfriend had a pain in his mouth and had not seen anyone for quite some time, so asked if Robert could squeeze in a quick look. Robert scheduled us after hours and did a full exam and was able to identify the problem(s) and schedule us right away to get them corrected.

Robert is a great dentist!! Linda and the staff at Sellwood location are great!! Very friendly. Professional. Top notch care. Excellent work at all times. Robert is very knowledgeable and has vast expertise in all areas of dentistry. He's great with adults and I've seen how great he is with kids too.

I'm their UPS driver, and after delivering to them for a short time, witnessed how friendly and reputable they were, I switched to them from my previous dentist.

Dr. Robert, Linda, Jennifer, and the entire staff provide the best dental experience my son has ever had. They are kind, communicative, patient, and everything else I could have asked for. The office is calming and without confusing and overstimulating devices and colours. We have moved out of Sellwood and into Washington and I would not consider leaving this practice. Thank you all.

Dr. Rodriquez is just a fantastically good and caring dentist.! I am 73 yrs old and needed a tooth extraction. It was an absolutely painless and trauma free procedure due to Dr. Rodriquez's patience ,expertise and willingness take the time needed to make the entire process from numbing to the extraction totally pain free!! I've been to many, many dentists across this country in my lifetime and he is the BEST! He's a great "Dude"!

I’ve been going to Sellwood Dental for many years and Robert and his staff have provided good care. But i believe it’s inappropriate and disrespectful to play Christian/religious music in workplaces and retail establishments. I won’t be going back.

Best care ever ---- most knowledgeable, friendly and caring dentists and staff you will ever meet! Dan and Robert rock. Check them out in Raleigh Hills if it's closer!

Robert and his staff are incredible! They are so warm, thorough, entertaining and highly skilled in dentistry.

Very comfortable and they are taking precautions due to Covid 19. I would highly recommend this Dentist.
