My daughter went yesterday for the first time to Ochoco Dental. She loved the staff, they talked to her on her own level, talked about soccer, and Tony heard her and came over to chat (he’s her soccer coach) she was so excited to see his name on the wall.
Morgan was so so so sweet to us as well. Love this group!

I’ve been going here for years, I was satisfied w/ the hygienist that cleaned my teeth.

We'll start out with the facts of Ochoco Dental as I know them. Every single person you encounter there will be wonderful, fully engaged, and totally interested in providing you with the best care and service possible. Communication is fantastic, the doctors are brilliant and creative and all of the staff are just so kind and helpful.

Now I'm going to tell you a very personal story. I have suffered with pain, crumbling teeth, poor health associated with several dental issues and of course the crushing dismay of having problematic teeth for my entire life.

Most of my problems are the result of bruxism, although growing up poor without proper access to even the basic necessities like a toothbrush or toothpaste certainly did not help. I would not even want to try and add up the amount of money I have spent on dentistry in my lifetime. Many times even as I struggled to put food on the table for my family, I would have extraordinary dental bills to pay on top of that.

As a result of the bruxism, my lower teeth were ground down nearly to the gum line. Whenever I spoke, there was a strong chance I might accidentally spit. Yuck. Every time I would chew I bit my lower lip resulting in very painful bumps and scrapes. I had TMJ so bad that every single time I opened my mouth, my jaw would pop so loud you could hear it across a table in a loud restaurant.

My bite was just awful. Over the last two decades, I consulted with about 10 different dentists in 3 cities and they all said the same thing. In order to fix the significant issues with my bite, I would have to undergo a full mouth restoration all at one time with an average price tag of $35,000, not including the implants that I would need to replace teeth lost during that time. Keep in mind that those lost teeth had already cost me at least $15,000 in root canals, crowns and bridges. I'm not the kind of person who has $35K just laying around, and if I did have it, it would go straight into my retirement account.

I literally begged these dentists to try and figure out how to help me in a way that would allow me to use some of my $2000 annual insurance allowance. All said, no way, can't be done. All at once or not at all. I could continue throwing good money after bad for the rest of my life and still never have a decent smile.

And then somebody recommended Dr. Mark Eilers. I saw him once in Portland and he said the most amazing thing to me after I told him my story. Something I had prayed to hear a dentist say for decades. He said, "We'll probably need to get creative, but I think we can pull this off."

He was willing to get creative! To help ME! Then he moved to Prineville. But, you know what? He's totally worth the 3 hour drive. Snowing or not. It's a gorgeous drive. And right now, after two long days of hard work -- his, not mine, I just sat there all comfy in the reclining dentist chair all day -- I have a very beautiful smile I can be proud of, using provisional crowns. This method fixed my bite and replaced all the ancient dental work completely changing my life. These crowns can be replaced with permanent crowns over time. I can smile for photos, speak with confidence and chew without biting holes into my lip. No words can describe the physical and emotional impact on my day to day life.

Now, were there bumps in the road? Yes, of course. But this guy knows how to zig AND zag. I could not be happier, and I will continue to make the three hour drive east through some of the most beautiful country imaginable to see the the greatest dentist I know and his amazing colleagues for years to come.

I have been going to Dr Ramos for years, absolutely love this dentist office and the staff. They have always done right and have been super informative. Dr Ramos takes pride in his work and job and is always reading and researching to further his knowledge.

Dr. Ramos and his staff are the best in Central Oregon! Wonderful dental care and a pleasure to work with. My boys are always excited to go see them for their routine checkups.
