Disregard the less than positive reviews. Dr. Keilman is THE BEST dentist I have ever had! He is compassionate and knows what he's doing. He likes to give as much information as possible so I have all the options available to me. His staff are great and keep the best atmosphere. They love what they do and it shows. Thank you for doing all you do! Espcially to make anxious dental folks like myself feel comfortable.

My husband and I are very happy with Dr. Keilman and his staff. We have experienced appointments with Dr. Keilman and his hygienists and have been well taken care of by all involved. They are gentle, explain everything, and endlessly helpful. Dr Keilman suggests the best choice in cavity and crown material regardless of the payout to his office. I had some sensitivity following a filling procedure with some cavities and was seen the same day I called, and the visit was complimentary. Wonderful!

Zero stars is what this dentist deserves. Dr. Keilman commits fraud and gets away with it. I went in to Dr. Keilmanβs office to reattach a crown that came off the day before. I was told by Dr. Keilman that I had a cavity on the tooth therefore he wouldn't be able to reattach the crown. I was quoted $1500 to fix the cavity and make a new crown. I was also told they will not accept payments but I could open up a care credit account to pay for it.
I waited a year to enroll with a different insurance group. I didn't experience any major issues with the exposed tooth other than sensitivity. Recently, I went to a dentist in Gresham to examine the tooth and hopefully put the crown back on. What I learned is that the tooth does NOT have a cavity, however because it has gone a year without the crown my tooth shifted and is no longer able to fit the crown. Unfortunately, I would have to settle for a gold crown due to learning they hold up better and will adhere better to the tooth. The cost for all of my treatment and to make my new crown is $110.00. Yes, One hundred and ten dollars!
Dr. Keilman is fraudulent and caused me to lose my tooth colored crown and gave me a year of grief. I am so angry with this office and Dr. Keilman who shouldnβt be allowed to practice fraud!!!

Zero stars. I went in for a cleaning and came away with a broken molar. They are nice upfront but their competency is very questionable, especially after a routine cleaning goes this bad. The dentist had pushed implants over crowns previously, so there is that factor. He is very condescending to his employees which he plays off with humor, very disingenuous. After his employee broke my tooth, he recommended another dentist to do an implant with no cost to him. His "discount" on the crown would be his "fair share" of setting things right. I was able to live with the broken, jagged tooth for quite a while before it became too painful and problematic. Eventually I came back to give them a chance to reconcile the problem due to work schedule and a bit of laziness on my part. Same problems, Keilman's "soft" touch left me in pain for about a month upon removal of their mistakes. They
also crowned the tooth next to it which I'm not even sure needed it. Inconsistent billing practices, bordering on fraud ensued next. Their billing managers estimate which I told them I was willing to pay upfront, was hundreds of dollars off due to his mistakes and miscommunication. He told me that they had ordered the wrong style crown and insurance would not pay for it(their mistake) but later in the conversation said the insurance company down coded it(after talking with Keilman). The crown was also off colored, another mistake. I called insurance company who I've had for years with no billing problems, and they told the opposite story. After several story changes, he abruptly ended the call after I became angry with his line of "BS". They have after 2 billing cycles, now referred their mistakes to a collection agency. Now I will refer them to an attorney. Read all reviews before selecting a dentist, I gave Keilman a chance based on his father's reputation. Make sure you don't get the wrong dentist because of the same name, this Veteran has learned his lesson.

For anything more expensive than a routine cleaning get a second opinion first. I'm not sure the high level of service justifies the constant push for very costly procedures.

All of the basics about running a dentist office is here; the staff is friendly and professional, facilities are clean and good, etc., but I have two key issues with this business.
1. The dentist told me I had a cavity and suggested amalgam filling. I do not prefer amalgam and wanted an alternative treatment. His billing staff did not correctly request a pre-authorization with my insurance company to cover the alternative treatment and I was stuck with choosing the amalgam. Luckily, I went to another dentist office who informed me that I DON'T have a cavity.
2. The billing staff didn't provide a written explanation of why my night guard is necessary (because I grind at night) so my insurance won't cover it until the evidence is provided. I have talked with the staff three times about getting this taken care of and they STILL are demanding I pay for the part that insurance was supposed to be covered. My treatment was 6 months ago!!!!
I don't trust the dentist or his staff. I will not be returning.

Keilman Dental has a really great practice. I am always well taken care of and I feel I get the best dental care there is. At each of my appointments, I always feel very comfortable and relaxed.

Went in for a routine, new patient exam & cleaning. First issue was with the dental asst. who apparently was untrained in the procedure to take a full mouth x-ray. She decided to take a panoramic but was not trained to remove earrings prior to taking the pictures. I have been a dental asst myself for several years and know protocol, tried to instruct her as to proper procedure to no avail. Upon leaving front desk personnel informed me that I owed money to them, when replying that Met Life policy stated 100% coverage, I was met with rebuttals from her whereupon several others came to surround me, each asserting the same thing, one particular male office person assumed a hands on hips stance, positioning himself in front of the exit hall insisting I had to pay them their $27.60. Being aggressive in their posturing to me I simply finally made payment so I could leave. Upon returning home I called Met Life to confirm proper understanding of coverage, Met Life rep was shocked that I could be treated this way and offered to conference the office on, we conferenced the male (Dave) and stated the facts and that they owed reimbursement to me for the erroneous charge. Dave was still rebutting and stated that only when THEY were paid would they provided a refund. Have since had to call the OR Dental Assoc., the Board of Dentistry and Met Life to submit a complaint. Had requested a call back from Dr, Mark Keilman who knew I am a vet with PTSD, he audaciously asserted over the phone that my condition could have altered my perception of the reality during this experience. He also asserted that insurance companies lie all the time about what they cover. Bottom line, unbelievably poor, unprofessional behavior demonstrated by office staff and the dentist. It was clear that staff operates under a directive to charge anything they think they can get away with, and customer service for a new patient is non-existant. I would say without doubt, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE.

I love it and my two little boys love it too! I've had horrible experiences in another very popular dental office that were "experts in dealing with kids" and they were horrible! Dr.Keilman has done great work with my boys! I always recommend them! The staff is awesome friendly and knowledgeable!

I don't understand why people would write a bad review on here about this dental office. I felt the staff was super friendly, efficient and clean. The doc was knowledgeable, informative, and gentle. All and all excellent experience.
