Tigard Modern Dentistry

I can honestly say that I have never had a better experience at the dentist. Even with a (less-fortunate) surprise need for three fillings, I was extremely pleased with the quality of service and care I received. Every member of the team was helpful and courteous, frequently checking in on my comfort level and updating me on my overall progress. The office itself is clean and well-equipped to handle any need that could arise. I was especially impressed by the team's willingness to tackle the fillings at the time of my appointment, as I know it led to them staying later than their standard hours of operation. I am extremely grateful for that! I look forward to referring others to this office as well as continuing to visit myself!

I would say this is near the best dental facility I have ever been in. Best and friendliest in Oregon I would venture to say. As I do not have insurance they work with me and my budget using very nice payment options. I would never say they seem greedy as another post suggested, and yes the wood chairs were narrow and uncomfortable but I have never had to wait more than 2 to 5 minutes while they set up the room. Now there is plush comfy chairs. Wow always impressed with the way they are looking out for me.

They most likely booked me at the same time as this other lady who came in. She rushed my cleaning and nicked me me a few times in the gums and on the lips. She took less than 5 minutes in order to rush to the next patient. I probably won't be coming back anymore. This is regarding the Indian dentist.

With Dr. Lam she is always trying to push me to buy invisalign every time I meet and I already said no and she'll ask her assistant to keep selling it to me.

I was super nervous about a procedure that I needed a periodontist to perform. Dr. Pagàn is very personable and is a great listener. While the procedure was challenging and uncomfortable by nature, Dr. Pagàn and staff worked very hard to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. He was very responsive to questions and post-op concerns that I had via text, which was a great help. The front desk staff are fantastic as well. I would recommend Dr. Pagàn and staff at Tigard Modern Dentistry to my family and friends. I am returning for a regular exam and cleaning too!

Tigard Modern Dentistry is amazing. Everyone who works there is kind, gentle, and takes the time to explain the test/procedure/results. The office is incredibly high-tech, I was seen immediately, and I didn't have to wait long to see the doctor. I'm usually afraid of dentistry work, but I enjoyed my visit to Dr. Lam's office! The cleaning was thorough, and I fully understood my exam results and suggested next steps. I never felt pushed to buy extras. The payment/insurance specialist took the time, on-site, to breakdown the prices with and without the Smile Generation plan. I didn't have to wait or come back to understand my payment options. I wish I still lived in the Portland/Tigard area -- I haven't been nearly as lucky in my dentist search in my new city!

Dr. Lam was amazing! Good job, friendly and modest (nothing worse than self important doctors). Great customer service, patient and friendly staff! Great financial information before treatment and good prices! Very clean! Has coffee , tea and water. they even have the option to watch tv while in the chair, best for before and after service because the middle you cannot hear or see, and can potentially distract staff during procedure. Going back!

This dentist is different; let me explain so that you can make an informed decision.
Pros:
1) modern technology, such as porcelain crown made in a few hours. How cool!
2) I also like that the staff don't talk unnecessary things. I've been to dentists' offices in which the hygienist kept asking questions (how was I supposed to answer while my mouth was occupied?), or the doctor was asking the staff about the upcoming holiday party. None of such disrespectful nonsense here.
3) They offer dental discount plan. In other words, they don't plan to overcharge you.
Cons:
1) communication. While I appreciate the second Pro point above, I do wish they explain things like what they are about to do, how long it will take, etc. Also, they want us to sign digitally wo reading what we are signing. I've been to medical offices where I was asked to sign digitally, which is fine in itself, but at other offices, I could read the documents on the screen. Here, they just say, "Now, it's the financial agreement. Sign it."
I don't think the people here intend to hold the patients accountable--they seem to be nice--but with so much money involved for dental care, this might be a problem, and I hope they fix it soon.

Dentistry at a different level! My dentist was Dr. Vivian Lam. She was extremely thorough and highly competent. I typically don't like going to the dentist so this was a very pleasant surprise. I had to get my crown replaced which I dreaded but Dr. Lam and company made it a very simple process. I highly recommend their dental services and will be be a recurring patient every 6 months!

Came here for a cleaning and they helped me out with much more so thankful. Everyone was so nice
