Dr. Haywood and his staff are courteous, qualified, and highly adept at their trades. I am conscientious about my teeth, brushing and flossing several times a day, especially after meals and drinks that cause staining. Dr. Haywood and his team help me to maintain my dental health and beautiful, bright white teeth.

I found Dr. Haywood on Yelp. I wrote an accurate, descriptive review of Dr. Haywood, his services, personnel, and office on Yelp and Google. I first visited Dr. Haywood about five years ago because I thought I had a cavity because of the sensitivity of a molar, on the right side of my mouth, while chewing food. During the exam, Dr. Haywood reviewed the X-rays and explained to me that he understood why I was experiencing pain while eating food. I said that I had four fractured molars.

I suffer from Epilepsy and have nighttime seizures. Over the last few years, I must have fractured my molars during the seizures while I was asleep. Dr. Haywood performed extensive work on the fractured teeth. He made a nightguard for me to wear while I sleep which has prevented any future fractures. In addition to the four crowns, Dr. Haywood completed minor cosmetic work on other teeth to make each tooth perfect visually.

Since then, I visited the office for a professional tooth whitening visit. The results were amazing. I got to keep the electronic whitening kit and tubes of professional whitening gel. Whenever I visit the office for cleanings and exams, the hygienist gives me whitening gel at no costs.

Although a friendly dentist and team are important to me, competence and expertise trump friendliness. Luckily, Dr. Haywood and his group of professionals combine the best of all worlds.

I highly recommend the practice of Dr. Steven Haywood to anyone seeking cosmetic dentistry.

When I first came to Dr. Haywood, I was coming with some “baggage.” In the past, I had some bad experiences with my cosmetic dental work; this left me very “scared” and anxious.

Over the years, I gained a lot of “hindsight” knowledge so I knew what I was looking for in a cosmetic dentist. When I came across Dr. Steven Haywood’s practice, I was impressed not only by his credentials and length of time he has spent in cosmetic dentistry, but by the numerous positive feedback that he has received.

Dr. Haywood has been working with me on a permanent veneer placement plan for several months. When I first came in I was terrified of getting even TEMPORARY veneers placed! Well, when they were placed I really loved them; pretty bright white color. So then I was scared about getting the permanent veneers. LOL

Everything is turning out perfectly. 😊

So I am finally in expert hands. And I can start “breathing“ again. Dr. Haywood has been very patient with me and the anxiety that I’ve brought with me. Also of equal importance, is the support and “room to vent my concerns“ that I have received/continue to receive from Randy.

I write this (LONG lol) post in the hopes that sharing my experience might help to quell some anxious/apprehensive feelings that other people may have about moving forward with cosmetic dentistry. Trust that if you move forward with Dr. Haywood, you will be happy !

I just recently had surgery there. I'm young and had a lot of work done, which no one my age should ever have to experience. With that being said, the warmth tender care, and compassion they showed and gave 100% of the time was absolutely incredible. They gave me something greater than a beautiful smile, they gave me my self confidence back. I couldn't smile for years. Before the surgery, my teeth were so bad that I was scared of having infections set in which could have become septic. Thanks to Dr Haywood and the incredible staff they gave me relief from my anxiety I had every day for years. I am so grateful to have been given a reference to southern york smile. You know what's really awesome? Dr haywood was there for me. I wasn't just a paycheck to Dr Haywood, I was a mother, a family oriented struggling adult. Dr haywood treated me with respect and fought for me in my corner to try to come up with something that was perfect. I can't thank him and his staff enough, for giving my greatest gift I hadn't had for a long time; the most beautiful, amazing and greatest smile.

Haywood stands far above the competence of any other dentist who has treated me. He has a confident manner that he backs up with performance.

I have had extensive work that has performed well for many years and is likely to last a lifetime.

I am not a big fan of the dental chair HOWEVER I switched to Dr Steven Haywood DDS in Shrewsbury and have lost that dislike. I’m even going quarterly now My teeth look 100% better and feel better as well

The office is so beautiful located in a restored office building on the square in Shrewsbury. The gals at the front desk as well as the dental hygienists and assistants are awesome!

Dr Haywood’s expertise goes beyond just cleaning and cavities. I had a tooth implant done by him and he saw me through the whole process. Then we whitened them and what a difference.

If you need a dentist or are looking to change he has my vote! Check him out!

I do not recommend this office. My daughter's Invisalign treatment has not been completed by Dr. Haywood and he refuses to give a refund...another issue..they require all payments in full prior to treatment! He started her Invisalign treatment and never informed us that she did not have two permanent teeth that show clearly on x-ray. He did several cleanings and x-rays of her prior to starting Invisalign treatment. My son and I previously had our Invisalign done by Dr. Haywood only to find out we still have an overbite after he released us and assured us everything was perfect. We trusted in this office and we are now out of money plus in addition they are asking for a $50 fee to transfer our records to a new orthodontist. Communication from this office is very slow and lacking. It takes them a week or longer to return a phone call. I had to constantly call to check on the status of my daughter's Invisalign. Please go to an orthodontist for braces/Invisalign if you want it done correctly!

After having an exam and x-rays done less then 2 weeks ago at a "cheaper" dentist, I had a tooth fracture. I decided it was worth waiting a couple of days to have it checked by Dr. Haywood. He explained the reasons behind why the tooth broke and what was overlooked and it was fixed without any pain or discomfort. In addition, the office is exceptionally nice and the staff is super friendly. I could have had my tooth fixed for free elsewhere, but in my opinion it was worth paying to have it fixed by Dr. H.

Had a fabulous experience at Dr. Steven Haywood’s Office today! From the moment I stepped in I felt as if changing from my previous dentist office to this one was the best decision I’d made.

Experience speaks for itself and this office is definitely the place for someone who wants to be taken care of by a professional!

I haven't been to the dentist in years. I finally went yesterday. I must say the staff is absolutely amazing! They're very personable and friendly. I can't believe that I'm looking forward to my next appointment. Please give them a chance if you don't have a regular dentist or if your looking for a new one.
