Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry

My husband and I recently moved into the area and I was looking for a dentist. I have some old fillings that need to be replaced with crowns. (I even had to have a crown replaced from another dental office that was only a year old because it had cracked.) I read the reviews about Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry and felt they would be a good fit. I’m so glad I found them! Dr. Haeussner is fantastic! He explains everything so clearly and he is very gentle. He doesn’t rush and takes the time to make sure the bite feels right. The entire staff is very kind and professional and the office is very clean. The crowns are done the same day. Great place! Great service! Great people!

Best Dentist and staff I have ever been in my life.

I went to Ponce de Leon Dentistry as a new patient. Inside the facility was nice and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Haeussner was very laid back and professional. I had a one day crown done. Dr. Haeussner is a perfectionist, he did all the measurements himself. The crown turned out perfect (and I am very picky)! He knows what he's doing. Definitely a five star dentist!

Terra was amazing. Best experience I’ve ever had a the dentist, I highly recommend her. The office was clean and extremely inviting, the front desk girls were equally as amazing. Thank you again !!

We have been going to Ponce de Leon family Dentistry for a few years now and couldn't be happier. Everyone on the staff is professional, friendly and kind. They are very accommodating with emergency appointments and seem to take extra care to make the experience pain free. Highly recommend them for all your dental needs.

I just want to say that this dental practice is definitely a 5 star place.I am normally terrified of the dentist. I have had the best care from this place. The dentist and his staff are the best. I am no longer afraid of treatment. It was pain free and everyone in the office is caring and patient. I never wait long and they are very accommodating. I recommend going here if you are like me and have anxiety about treatment. Thank you everyone for changing my my anxiety to knowing I will have the best care!!!

I was referred to Dr. Haeussner by a neighbor; and, that was the best piece of advice I have ever received! I knew that I needed some extensive work, and i dreaded the thought. But, after having about half the work done, I couldn't be more pleased or impressed! Dr. Haeussner is sooo gentle and it seems like he gets the problem taken care of very quickly.....as if the College he attended taught him "special tricks"! And Dr. Haeusnner 's support staff is also amazing. Considering the fact that much of an office visit is spent with assistants, they heavily influence the patient's experience.. Starting with Amanda at the front desk to Amanda and Kim in the back, I was treated with skill and compassion. I highly recommend Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry!!!

Dr. H and his staff are wonderful. I’ve been a dental phobe for most of my life, but he is so gentle, I’m still nervous, but I can handle anything he does. In 53 years of being alive, Dr. H is the only dentist who realizes that a person is attached to my mouth. I highly recommend!

This has been my place for about 3 years now, and will remain. My most recent procedure is costing quite a lot, and when I did not get approved for credited payments I was very nervous I would lose my tooth! After calling and explaining, the office staff quickly consulted with Mr Heussner and we came to a reasonable financial conclusion for both parties. I can now have my procedure and I am very grateful.

Growing up, I didn’t have very good dental experiences, so as an adult I had a fear of going to the dentist. Ponce De Leon Family Dentistry changed that completely! Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and makes the entire experience extremely comfortable. I never thought I would ever say I love going to the dentist- but I do! If anyone reading this is on the fence about going to this practice, do yourself a favor and make an appointment!!

Amazing experience! I am a new patient and they got me in so quickly compared to other offices I called. Amanda helped me get my x-rays from my old office when they wouldn't offer me any kind of reassurance that they would send them before my first visit. She also helped me get my husband into the office quickly for his first visit too. The hygienist (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name!) was so caring and took time to explain everything she was doing, I've never had that kind of attentiveness before. It was great to learn about all the things that are usually just done without explanation. Dr. Haeussner was also so helpful in determining the pros and cons of the service I was inquiring about. He made it very clear on what I was to expect and I really appreciated him giving me the tools to make an informed decision. Overall I'm so happy I found this amazing office and I'll be coming here for years to come :)

Dr. Dan Hauser is a gentle dentist. He's been my dentist for years and has fixed cavities and did some crown work. I highly recommend this dental office. Amanda in office, Kasey and Desiray hygienist are all wonderful professionals.

Fantastic dentist and hygienists! The office is beautiful, comfortable and clean and they have handled COVID protocols flawlessly. They are open and honest with you about pricing, insurance coverage and Dr. H would never recommend something that your teeth (and wallet) do not need. I highly, highly recommend. Especially love Kasey!

Dr. Haeussner is hands down the best dentist in town. He is very knowledgeable and gentle. So glad I found this office. My entire family see Dr. Haeussner and couldn’t be happier!

I was very disappointed with this dentist. After 18 years going to a different dentist, I decided to try one closer to my home. The place was clean and the people in the office were friendly. But frankly I don't think this dentist has the ability to work on things that are a bit challenging. .After two years of having dental cleanings, and a few minor things done, I needed a bridge replacement. Dr Haussner only offered the option of a partial bridge. I decided to go back to my old dentist and get a second opinion. When I told them they told me I shouldn't bother coming for my cleaning I had scheduled the next day.. I honestly could not believe it. ..I had had dental cleanings every 3 months and x rays taken a few times. They neglected to see a very large cavity which could have been filled. My old dentist picked this up... I had to have the tooth removed because of their shortsightedness. I wouldn't recommend this dentist unless it is for very small and not particularly difficult cases...

I moved to St. Augustine 6 years ago and did quite a bit of “dentist shopping” but wasn’t satisfied with any of them. Then I overheard some ladies in my water aerobics class rave about Dr. Haeussner and his entire staff at Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry. As soon as I walked in for my first appointment, I knew I had found my “home”. Dr. H is one skilled dentist! I literally almost drifted off to sleep while he was drilling one of my teeth to replace a crown. (This coming from someone who used to have such a dentist phobia that I would have to take a sedative before office visits). And his staff was just as warm and compassionate as he was. I am so grateful that I found this office.
