Got great care from everyone and Dr. Mikitka looks to have the skills and knowledge we were seeking in a dentist. Front office staff and assistants are very nice. My experience with the hygienist was very positive, she was very kind, gentle, and has great bedside manners. She explained everything she was doing before she did it which put me at ease and was very conscious and careful around sensitive teeth and gums. Dr Mikitka however has very poor bedside manner and was very condescending and belittled me and I left mortified and in tears. Had my crown done there and the bite was off so I had to go back to get it fixed. Again he was condescending and kept saying “it’s like wearing new shoes” I know how my teeth should feel in my own mouth. He drilled on the crown with no numbing and I was in a lot of pain and raised my hand for him to stop but he ignored and continued drilling and then immediately hounded me to give him consent so that he can do it again to continue fixing the tooth. I’m so glad my husband was there because he stood up for me and told him to give me a moment. I was absolutely traumatised from what had just happened. Dr Mikitka has no consideration or patience for people who experience pain or fear around the dentist.
