Mixed feelings. The staff is friendly and attentive. Dr. Allport is the best dentist I've been to. He is very concerned about making you comfortable. He is up-to-date and very knowledgeable. I experienced little discomfort extracting three teeth.
The bad, at home I was in pain for 12 days total treating an abscess and recovering from the extractions which were dry sockets. For 12 days pain I received 4 days of pain medicine. Why not 12 days worth? I still have an infection, no concern. They also played me saying they would file my dental insurance which is through Humana. They took my card and my follow up visit "No we did not file". I called Humana and turns out Dr. Allport is not part of the network. Therefore no claim or recovery. On a fixed income I'm stuck with the bill which you have to pay cash up front, $643 for 3 teeth extractions. I feel like I was played just to get my money. That's another thing, the initial visit they give you your payment options. One option was 3 monthly payments with a credit card. They later told me I couldn't. My credit card not good? Why advertise it then? My last day I overheard a phone call. The receptionist told the person they had an outstanding balance of $158. Really? Sounds like they are judgemental on who receives credit.
