I needed my tooth pulled and the "call center" set me appointment on Saturday at 8 am. I was on time and went through the whole process, then they tell me I have to come back Tuesday to finish the process. Their extraction Dr doesn't work on Saturday.

I came to Abbeville because of two teeth that are giving me pain and needs to come out but that was not addressed first. I've never been to a dentist where the doctor doesn't address himself personally and he walks in does it examination and walk out. I don't even know his name and I addressed the problem that I did not want it to become infected if he was not going to pull it and he actually said, "if you think you need antibiotics I'll prescribe you some", well he's the doctor not me. I have bad teeth and my goal is to eventually have dentures. I still have teeth that I could chew with and I do not intend to spend $2,700 on partials and fillings even with insurance then turn around and have to spend more money on dentures later. I could see having my teeth having to be deeply cleaned in the meantime to stop bone loss. In the long run I'll probably end up going somewhere else unless Abbeville contacts me. My overall opinion of Abbeville it's almost like going to a car lot to buy a car. They will take care of you by what they want, not by what you need.

Extremely incompetent and rude staff . They scammed us by telling us that insurance will cover the services provided and then gave us $500 plus bill . When I contacted the insurance , we were informed that coding was wrong but when we contacted the office they refused to correct that and said it’s always an “ estimate”. We have had dental visits and same services done before from different office for my other kids and we know that estimates are never that far off . Due to wrong coding , the claim was completely denied which is a covered service by our insurance . Not sure if dentist is aware of the incompetence of the staff or they are outright scamming people . Wouldn’t recommend them at all!

I called last week to make my appointment today at 9am. They also gave me a reminder call yesterday confirming the appointment. I come in at 9am and they said my appointment wasn’t until 4pm. They were able to fit me in 30mins. I sit in the chair for about an hour waiting for to see the doctor. He was very nice! They said ok go to the front to see if they can fit me in for a cleaning. Then they said they don’t have time to do my cleaning. So I waisted half my day when I could’ve of been working. I used PTO hours to be able to do my appointment. Will not be returning, I’ll look for another dentist, because I am not about to take a day off of work to get a cleaning when they mixed up the items as well as not even do the Cleaning.
