Traumatizing. This was a long time ago but it is hard to forget. The amount of good ratings for this doctor has always surprised me. I’ll tell you why. When my son was around 18 months old I scheduled him and I each a cleaning here. I specifically asked the woman on the phone if they saw children that young and she assured me they did. She mentions that they’re not usually open on Fridays but they have an opening for a Friday morning. Perhaps the staff was out of sorts or I, too, have bad luck like another reviewer mentioned. I arrived 20 minutes early to complete new patient paperwork for two people. From the moment I sat down to do this people were literally coming out left and right asking me if I was finished. I decided to brush this off. We met the doctor and he was initially following through with an appointment for me. Needless to say, he abruptly began talking about my son. He said he doesn’t usually see children this young. He seemed frustrated by dealing with a small child. I mentioned he has tarter build up like I tend to get on front two bottom teeth. We both have reflux issues. The doctor looked at me stone cold and told me my sons teeth were rotting. “Uh that’s not tartar, that’s rot. And it’s bad.” I couldn’t believe it. Admittedly, I became emotional which made the the doctor become more antisocial. I believed this man. I realized I needed to take my son to a pediatric dentist right away. I left immediately (after they made me plead my case to someone else for permission) and scheduled for my son to be seen on a Saturday in midland at a children’s dentistry. This new dentist knew exactly what to do, which is get in the child’s mouth and work with their movements. She scraped off the TARTER and I signed a paper saying there were no cavities. I will never ever ever let this go. *They all made me feel like a horrible mother who caused rot in a toddler because of a glass of milk before bed. Like I was some kind of imbecile for not knowing better.

Our family of 6 has been seeing Dr Ward for almost 12 years. He is knowledgeable and truly an expert in his field. Dr Ward has worked on all 4 of our kids and was patient and gentle with them. I would not trust anyone else with our children’s oral care. The staff is amazing and we all look forward to going to the dentist. We ONLY recommend Ward Family Dental to everyone that asks us. Thank you Dr Ward and staff for exceptional care for our Team!

Dr. Ward and his staff go above and beyond. My children and I have been with Dr. Ward since 2002. Because of the dedication and amazing experience he and his staff has to making your appointment as painless and comfortable, as possible. For me and my family we will always be in his waiting room. Very quick, my 6 year old had to have a couple teeth pulled. Dr Ward and his assistant were very kind, gentle, and patient with my kid. He is kinda panicky some times, but he was very relaxed because of their demeanor. 10/10 would recommend. Service was outstanding.

Ward Family Dental is an exceptional place to have your dental needs met. My teeth were in pretty bad shape, but Dr. Ward worked with me and now my teeth look really great! I had the Fast Braces and am extremely happy with the results. Thank you for the great service!

I also have bad and traumatizing memories associated with my child and this office and seeing the previous negative review disregarded compelled me to share my own. I had a child who bumped their tooth cracking it and I called asking if they saw 4 year olds as I was previously a patient. They assured me they would take good care of my child and while the dental work was excellent Dr Wards bedside manner when dealing with children is atrocious. My kid was scared and understandably wiggly and cried out for me at one point. Dr Ward was cruel and threatened my child that I (the parent) would be removed from the room if my child didn’t correct their behavior. It was appalling and I was shaking with anger by the time I left. The only reason I didn’t leave a review at the time is because I knew someone who worked in the office and didn’t want to cause any trouble. I never set foot in that place again and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone for child services or even anyone with dental anxiety. And idc who responds and says this is inaccurate or didn’t happen it 100% did and I still think about how awful Dr Ward was to my child

Dr. Bailey didn't have to answer the phone, he didn't have to see me on a Sunday and he didn't have to ask his assistant to meet us at the office. But he and she did!!!! Thank you so much for helping me relieve the pain and get me on the root canal schedule for this week!! Best customer service ever ❤️❤️❤️

I travel to Big Spring, TX from Kansas just to see Dr. Ward and Dr. Bailey. They are both, hands down the best dentists I've ever seen! Highly recommend them.
