Had a crown fall out late in the morning and went to this dentist... ( I have not been here in 10 years )... I was given a 2 pm appointment to reseat the crown. I was seen promptly at my appt time and Cynthia expeditiously reseated the crown. Additionally she took the time to inquire about my last cleaning and set up a cleaning appointment for the following week. This is the second time in 10 years this office has solved my dental emergencies and I am grateful for that. Dr. Alisha is very professional and has a warm friendly personality, as demonstrated by the treatment and care she provides to all; I wish all doctors were like her. The office staff is also very friendly and professional.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was a patient of Dr. Hermandez’s for many years. I trusted him. On my last visit, he removed my old (silver) filings to replace them with white filings. I regret it everyday. I could see he was struggling to remove the old filings and even noticed him sweating. After a few hours, I was in excruciating pain and called the office. I waited for someone to return my call, but no one called. The next day, I called and they said my jaw would be sore because my mouth was open for a while and to get some rest. My jaw felt really sore and I couldn’t eat. After a couple of days, I went back and explained to Dr. Hernandez that this pain wasn’t normal. He said I had a CRACK on my right bottom molar. I thought... what?
He continued to tell me I would need a crown procedure. I informed him that this “crack” had to have happened when he removed my old (silver) filings. I told him to review my x-rays because never had it shown a “crack.” In fact, my teeth have always been in great shape because of the regular cleanings and dental care I received over the years. The young lady confirmed and told him in the hallway. I over heard him say, “Did you tell her?” I couldn’t believe it!! I trusted this dentist and it was a HUGE mistake. DO NOT go there if you have heathy teeth because one day, you’ll end up paying over $600 to repair what wasn’t broken in the first place. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED 😔

Been putting off this review for a while, but it’s because I wanted to make sure I had time to properly write it up...
I have been visiting this office ever since I was a litte kid, first with Dr. Emilio Hernandez and now with Dr. Alisha Hernandez. Hands down, Dr. Alisha and her staff are by far the best there is. I’ve been seeing her for about two years now, and despite having relocated out of state, I continue to come here for all my dental needs.
She and her entire staff are professional, they are honest and you can tell that their top priority is caring for you, as opposed to other offices that I have gone to where the doctors and staff are cold, impersonal and only seem to care about making a quick buck and getting you in and out of the chair fast.
What keeps me coming back here are the people, Dr. Alisha and her staff. Well, that and the results, of course. They’ve done nothing but a fine job, and I will continue to call Dr. Alisha “my dentist”, despite being a thousand miles away.
For anyone looking for a new dental office, I strongly recommend Dr. Alisha and her staff. I don’t see how you can find anyone else as exceptional as her in Brownsville (except for, of course, her father, Dr. Emilio Hernandez).

Dr. Hernandez and his staff are very good about answering questions and guiding you to help better your oral health. New dentist Dr. Alisha is just as amazing she really helps bring a new kind of energy to the office. Highly recommend.

Terrible customer service. They don’t care about you or your needs. It’s just about the money. My mom paid over $900 for custom fit teeth and they fell off less than a year later and they refuse to help her with new ones or fixing the old ones. “We would need you to pay another $900 for us to help you”. Imagine spending that kind of money for something that didn’t even last.
This dentist needs to remember that he got into a business of helping people, not robbing them.

Have been going to Dr Emilio Hernandez for many years. Now my husband is his patient also. We are always cared for with the greatest of skill. We arr made comfortable and feel no pain. I am even given a blanket for my knees that always tend to get cold because of my surgeries . They remind us of our appointments and premedication if needed. I strongly recommend Dr. Hernandez for your dental problems. You will be happy you did.

Dr. Aisha and Dr. Emilio, Cynthia, and Deanna were of the highest caliber and above reproach. My experience as a first time to the dentist for cleaning and filling my teeth was an enjoyable experience. All of them were professional in their skills. The office staff named Thelma explained my finances where I understood what the cost would be! Thank you to all of you! I will always speak very highly of your establishment! You get an AAA!🏆🥇

Dissappointed, I called to make an appointment with Dr. Hernandez because Iam having havy pain on the area of my mouth where Dr. Hernandez had done a procedure. The office staff did not give me an appointment until the visit was approved by the VA.
SAD and in Pain.

**WARNING I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE**
I consulted here a couple of months ago after having a severe toothache. I went to Dr. Hernandez's office, received the x-rays, clean-up and then the evaluation by the Doctor. Turns out I need three tooth extractions, two molar-wisdom teeth and one tooth located near the front right below my eye-socket that has a "small hole". Turns out the tooth has a small hole at the bottom, where all the chewing occurs, that has the nerve exposed / cavity. As per Dr. Hernandez, the hole is small and "does not need" to be treated right away via a root-canal procedure. So I get sent home with amoxicillin (antibiotic) and a mouth wash that I had to pay $30 upfront in the office since my insurance "does not cover it" (I have receipts as proof). I take the medications and eventually my pain/discomfort goes away. Several months later, I would say no more than six months, I notice my problematic tooth has a bigger hole and again the severe pain. I go back for a second consult and turns out the total cost of the treatment will be between $1,200.00 to $1,800. I advice them that I do not have that kind of money readily available. I then get referred to a different room/office, and a female, possibly Dr. Hernandez's spouse, show's me a treatment plan (paperwork that 'til this day I have). She explains to me how my insurance, which is TML, does not cover the necessary treatment and how I should apply for a credit card to cover the costs. She then shows me a pamphlet that they have on the counter-top display. So I refuse the credit card and go home with again antibiotics. Weeks later, I decide to consult at another dental office and sure enough, turns out my insurance DOES COVER my necessary dental procedures. Long story short, I end up loosing my tooth, the one with the "small hole not necessary to treat right away" !! The tooth decay was not treatable and as per the new dentist, "had I been to his office sooner he could of saved my tooth via a root-canal procedure"!! Now I have an embarrassing dental gap on my left side every time I smile :-( !! I am now currently as of (09/10/2017) saving up money to cover a one tooth dental implant !! Turns out my insurance gives a yearly $2,000 credit for dental consults and including the mouth wash I had been charged $30 for it, the new dentist prescribed the mouth wash and walmart pharmacy provided FREE of charge since my insurance DOES cover it. How can Dr. Hernandez's office not cover ONE TOOTH ROOT CANAL for $2,000.00 !!?? CASH GREEDY PEOPLE / DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE YOUR TEETH !!

Dr. Hernandez and Dr. Alisha along with their staff are wonderful. They are very thorough and made my daughter's first trip to the dentist a positive experience. Very grateful!
