Denton Smiles Dentistry

I would not recommend these dentist. I did not like their hygenist, she was not at all nice to my six year old son. She lost her patience several times and was rude about any suggestions I made. The female dentist, Susan Tran has no personality and does not have good bedside manners. I did not get a chance to speak with her husband, who is also a dentist, but he seemed to be very outgoing and compassionate. If you don't specifically ask for Glenn Vo... then don't bother taking your kids there.

Both Dr. Vo and Dr. Tran are really nice and personable the assistants are awesome as well. The chairs are comfy and you can watch Netflix on the ceiling or listen to music while they do your procudres. They have a game/arcade room where your kids can play. One con, they are always booked it’s somethimes hard getting an appointment. I’ve never had any issues.

Denton smiles dentistry have gone above and beyond for me!! They are very patient and care about the needs of the patient ( me), even if they are special needs! I had two strokes and peralyzed in the right side of my face do to the strokes. Dr. Vo was very careful to pick the right dental work with the least amount of surgery for free! They are now my family and take care of my daughter as well!!! I highly recommend them to any and everyone!!

Doctor took the time to answer questions and technicians were very personable. Happy vibe here. The office staff are most helpful, polite and professional.

Great staff. Dr. Vo and Dr. Tran are kind, calm, professional, and answer questions. Love the fact that they have screens to watch your Netflix choice while they work on your teeth. Only thing is that they don't handle pediatric teeth as well as I hoped.

I am giving my honest opinion about the experience from start to finish. Mind you, I have never wrote a review for anything, but this warranted it. I don’t feel I was attended to appropriately or given a thorough explanation of why I was denied even a basic routine cleaning, and care.

1) After my xrays we’re taken the hygienist came in spoke in medical terms I didn’t understand and recommended I get a deep cleaning which she would have to see the cost. I honestly felt like this was a ploy to get more money. I’ve been treated by another dentists just 6 months ago and wasn’t told this. So I’m truly not sure how “BAD” my gums got within that time but apparently they did.

2) After waiting for 30-40 mins Dr. Tran sees me for two mins tells me my teeth are beautiful and that I should get my wisdom teeth pulled. I asked how badly I needed the deep cleaning. She says I just have slight gum sensitivity. I’m not at risk right now if I don’t get the deep cleaning. So at this point I feel confident I can get the routine cleaning and go home. I wait 20 more mins. For someone to come get me from the back. Walk me out to the front. Hand me a goody bag and tell me she’ll be back to discuss the cost of the cleaning with me. At this point I was so confused because I thought I was still getting a base cleaning at least.

3) I wait 20 more mins. I ask the front desk lady is someone going to come talk to me she says a lady is but “she’s all alone”... whatever that means. Eventually someone comes to talk to me about a $500 deep cleaning that I need. How they like to do things “properly” and won’t even give me the basic. She goes back to talk to the doctor a time or two probably to get fed better ways to deliver me this unfortunate news. It all just didn’t feel right. I would’ve respected A) the doctor telling me this. B) not having to wait so long in between my visit, it made me feel forgotten C) a better explanation for why I needed the deep cleaning but only had slight gum sensitivity. The Dr. told me I’d be okay without the deep cleaning, that this wasn’t a rush, so why force me into getting it. No one likes to feel forced especially in spending their money. I will never comeback. And not because of the $$ but because I genuinely didn’t feel cared for or heard during my visit. I had a better experience at Ideal Dental in Denton. And that is where I’ll go back to. I spent 2 1/2 hours after work just getting X-rays, waiting, and a $500 bill for cleaning.

Horrible experience! Never again! My regular hygienist apparently had quit working there, but I had an appointment with her specifically, they did not bother to let me now that she was no longer working there instead let me come to the appointment and had a temp worker who almost drown me while doing the cleaning, I had to literally raise my hands to get her to stop and let me spit out the blood, etc. When I protested she casually just told me that I can just swallow the junk with blood that she was scraping out of my teeth. NO thank you! I prefer to spit it out! She also refused to hand me over a Kleenex to wipe off my lipstick, she told me to just use the bib. Very unprofessional and she rush through the entire cleaning. I did not feel my teeth were properly cleaned when she was done. Never again!

I been going to them for the past 4 yrs and I am very please with who they are and how they make sure there patients are fine before and after anything they are doing . They are very great people and there staff are great and willing to work with you. Love that They are people person and care about their patient.

Incredibly thorough work. They do not cut corners and they treat every patient as if it’s their only patient. If you’re looking for great dentistry in the area, look no further, you found them! Highly recommended.

The visit was good the staff are kind and caring my gums usually hurt after a cleaning but they did a good job at not hurting my gums un like with other dentists I have been to I am definitely happy with my smile.
