Musso Family Dentistry

Dr Mark is my son’s dentist and orthodontist. Dr Mark is very friendly and has done a superb job working with his orthodonture and regular check ups with my son. My son has already said that he is staying with Dr Mark even when he is off my insurance and on his own, if he can. The staff in the front and in the back are very friendly and help to put my son at ease. We appreciate everyone at this office!!!!

I have been on a long journey to address my Sleep Apnea, and Dr. Musso come highly recommended to me by my ENT. I have learned so much about Sleep Apnea and how your dental/palate/soft tissue plays a role in that. I refuse to sleep with a CPAP Machine, and Dr. Musso offers several options that do not include that Darth Vader Machine!!! I'm also grateful for both the office and Dr. Musso's personalities! That is VERY important to me!!!

Musso Family Dentistry is amazing! They took such good care of my family (including my 3yo daughter!). I recently moved to Utah and at my latest appointment my new dentist said to me, "Wow! Your last dentist did a very good job!"

I definitely do not recommend seeing Charla Newhouse at Musso Family Dentistry.
The Musso Office environment was spot on!
However, the service I received from Charla Newhouse turned out to be the reason I'll never go back and will not recommend them. I couldn't believe it after my extractions when the assistant told me that Newhouse would not prescribe ANYTHING for pain. She instructed me to take Tylenol or Motrin. I assumed she knew what was best and followed her instructions until the numbness wore off and extreme pain hit like a ton of bricks. I immediately called the office and left a message with the front desk. After a couple hours passed and hadn't heard anything, I called again and was told she was still busy. Finally after the end of business day she called and informed me that she hadn't intended on writing anything for me because she could see I had been prescribed Tylenol with codeine in the past (nothing currently) and she wasn't "comfortable" prescribing me anything. At the end of the call she called in 600 mg ibuprofen after I clearly stated that I had already taken 800 mg ibuprofen and it had done nothing at all to relieve the pain. Luckily I have the good sense not to take 600 mg of ibuprofen on top of the 800 mg I had already taken. That could have damaged my liver or kidneys.

I feel that this poor judgment not only left me suffering in unbearable pain, feeling punished or shamed because I had taken Tylenol w/Codeine in the past as if I was trying to get drugs from her but I also could have become seriously ill from entirely too much ibuprofen.

I understand there is an opioid issue in this country but that has nothing to do with me as an individual patent! Instead, I was placed at risk and in pain.

I spoke to her today regarding this issue and asked why she did not inform me before the extraction that she had no intention of helping manage the pain. She admitted that she should have spoken to me before hand and apologized. She proceeded to tell me to do whatever I needed to do in regards to my future plans to have several extractions and have dentures made. A plan which we had already discussed in detail when though she never informed me that I would be doing this with no pain medication!
Somehow her apology does not help with the excruciating pain I was forced to endure over the long weekend or being placed in danger of ibuprofen overdose.

I'm sure Mike and Mark are wonderful dentists but I will never find out because of Charla Newhouse' poor judgment.

My advice, make sure you request Mike or Mark.

These are the best Dentist in the world. Love the atmosphere, and the dental work. You just don't get the denal needs, you get a total health and wellness. I was taught how everything starts with your mouth. How the Infection that is in my mouth, and swollowing causes the infection to travel through my body. I am totally wowed, and never thought of it this way. Thank you Musso Dental and their excellent team for taking care of me and my family. You have been a part of my family lives for my years and you will continue being in our lives.

Can I give 10 Stars?!! you will literally have a team helping you in every way you need! The staff is amazing from the front to the back, came in for a cleaning and Sahar took real good care of me. Dr. New house made sure I felt comfortable while doing my fillings, even with my dental anxiety she was super patient with me, which is rare with Doctors LOVE LOVE LOVE her! & a huge Thank you not only to everyone who helped and assisted me but to the wonderful assistant McKayla for holding my hand during the whole procedure!

The entire team was great! They informed me of what the process would be like, answered any of my questions, ensured I was as comfortable during the process as possible and followed up to make sure everything went great afterwards. They definitely soothed any worries I had about visiting a dentist for the first time in 6 years!

To make this wonderful rating short, let’s just say this amazing team of people stayed more than an hour after closing to make sure that I understood everything that I need to do to better my oral health. They did not seem annoyed nor did I feel rushed out, I love this dentistry so much and I do not plan on leaving them! Shout out to Dr. Mark, Sahar, and Ruthann!!

Nice, friendly respectful staff! My son and daughter have different dentist and my daughter told my son our dentist office is better than yours. They gave us a gift on our first visit.

I had the most pleasant experience today when I visited the Musso Family Dentistry this morning! The staff was amazing! Once I walked through the door I was immediately greeted by the woman sitting at the front desk. My interaction with her and then with my amazing hygenist Sahar made me feel at home, as if I were actually a Musso family member. Usually I'm very nervous and uneasy at the dentist but Sahar made my experience joyful. Our conversation was great and she always made sure to ask me if I was in pain or if I was uncomfortable. I really appreciated that because sometimes other hygienists can be a little rough but Sahar was great. I really appreciated Dr Mark taking the time to come in, meet me and check on my teeth himself. He gave great feedback and really let me know that he cares about my oral health even though it was his first time meeting me in person. I recommend families to visit this dentistry because not only do they go above and beyond to get your teeth right but they create a very comfortable vibe that keeps you relaxed while you get your work done.
