Dr Hicken has taken the scary out of going to the dentist. He is gentle, kind, and honest. He is very aware, and thoughtful, of people’s financial situation, not signing you up for procedures that aren’t truly necessary. I have a cracked tooth, that someday will need crown. He has explained to me the tooth could break where the crack is & If that happens, it will most likely also need a root canal. But, he said “when you’re ready” (financially or otherwise) call and make the appointment.
I have four previous crowns done by Dr. Hicken. My two front teeth from a biking accident and two of my back molars. I have not had one issue with any of them & my two front teeth were done 19 years ago. The other two were done about two years ago with his special technology that created the new crowns in his office during the same appointment, so it’s a one time visit. No temporary. No second appointment to glue the crown on. It’s one and done. I highly recommended Dr. Hicken.

Dr. Hicken is very nice. I like him a lot, and that is refreshing after having been to a dentist I did not like for the past 5 years. He seems to be quite knowledgeable and skilled, though I've only seen him a couple of times. The one thing I don't like is that the secretary does not sit at the front desk. Instead she uses a room off to the side. It is awkward to come into the office and stand there not knowing what to do. More than once I've stood at the front counter for a while before anyone came to help.

I have lots of experience with dental and specialty spa “providers” throughout Utah County and the state. You WILL NOT FIND a better place for “tweaks” that will help your appearance and how you feel about yourself. Prices are more than reasonable but the expertise and caring is the very highest. You won’t leave looking like an over-inflated Barbie, or a brain dead zombie. Great private atmosphere but totally professional.
