I have EXTREME dental anxiety.
I believe I met with a woman named Barbara (sorry if I got your name wrong)
Not only did she recognize my anxieties but she knew how to communicate with me to help really ease my nerves.
She explained everything she was doing before she did it, stopped for a moment when I needed her to and planned ahead on the best associates to meet with me next time.
I was actually so scared I was in tears and left with a smile.

I scheduled to have a veneer done. I was told I would be informed of any fees ahead of the actual procedure. They requested that I pay half up front (approx. $550) because that is "what is usually covered by most plans." So I paid for half and they said I would be told how much my insurance would cover before my appointment. I was not informed and when I showed up to have the veneer done I found out there was no coverage for veneers with my plan. I ended up paying $1100 out of pocket. This was a new plan for me and I did not know there was no veneer coverage. I thought the procedure was considered a cap and that part of it would be covered. I did not realize there was a difference. This was a huge expense.
I will say the staff are all very friendly and helpful and even threw in some free whitening, but still, I would have preferred to not pay $1100 for something that could have been partially covered later on by a different insurance plan.
EDIT - My veneer ended up falling off a few days after it was put on. I had to go to another dentist to have it glued back on and was told the veneer was not properly molded in the first place - it ought to have a "hook" on the back to alleviate pressure so that the veneer will be less likely to come off. So now I have a $1100 veneer that might fall off again at any time and I cannot eat anything hard such as apples, corn, etc. I'd like this veneer to be remade properly but because Dr. H decided to file off the enamel on the tooth (which hurt quite a lot) before putting the veneer on I know this process will be extremely painful and I'd like to avoid doing so.
