I’ve been going here for about 9 yrs now. In the past I’d had some traumatic experiences with dentists and battled anxiety and fear about going; but White River Dentist has been so great to me, specifically Dr Symancyk. She listens and takes your concerns into account. I have had many issues with my teeth and they have been wonderful. Today my daughter (4 1/2) had her first appt with them and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Prior to the appt they gave me a disposable mirror to “play dentist” with my daughter to help familiarize her with some of the procedures etc. The staff was so friendly and she had a great time! I’m so glad that she won’t have to experience any of the awful things I went through as a child/teen/young adult with numerous teeth problems, as most of them were due to the drs not listening, not explaining, or just ignoring my concerns. They really made all the experiences fun instead of scary for her. I love White River Dentist! I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a great dentist.

This was my first visit with Dr. Symancyk. I was impressed by her kindness and thoroughness, explaining procedures and options every step of the way and carefully outlining our treatment plan. Their entire team treated me kindly and made me feel comfortable and cared for even in the face of very stringent COVID-related precautions. My only disappointment was having to be referred to another office for some of the treatment. I recommend the office and Dr. Symancyk without reservation.

My hygienist is always friendly. I really appreciate Ashley's conversation during my cleanings. Seeing any of the dentists is a positive experience. I have had my turn seeing all of them at least once, and I am thankful for their time. They are always willing to explain anything if I have questions.

The very best dental care from 'some' of the kindest gentlest people. I used to hate hate (2 hates on purpose), going to the dentist until my local VA hospital referred me to then. Now I'm sad when too much time passes between visits. Had I not waited all those years my life probably wouldn't be where it is today because the dentist would have picked up on cancer that eventually spread into a stage IV head and neck cancer. Luckily with a willing doctor and a great staff, they got me ready for chemo and radiation. I was diagnosed as terminal and have now been in remission for 5 years. Dr. Symancyk and her team are a huge part of the reason I'm alive today. They are part of my family; from the doctors and technicians, hygienist, front and back office staff... THANK YOU for always making it personal, and treating me like I'm family. I would list names but there are just too many and with chemo brain, who can keep up with names. They are a very cohesive team.

Dr. Tara Symancyk rocks! I am very impressed. She communicates with your every step of the way, informing you of what she will do next. I love the pre-warnings on possible sensations you may experience. Her hands are steady, gentle, accurate and small; which means for the patient, your lips don't get stretched out, attention to detail is her forte', and there is minimal discomfort. I my last procedure we also had some good laughs.

I cannot say enough about this practice. Clean, efficient, empathetic and most of all comfortable. Let’s face it going to the dentist is dreaded however since I have been coming, I actually do not have any anxiety. Going to the dentist is something we all should do and you should come here.

As ever, all the staff at Dr. Schramm's office were wonderful today. Always caring, positive and upbeat. Dr. Schramm is an excellent dentist. He's thorough, yet gentle--making every visit I've had with him over the last 20+ years pain free. I've recommended this practice to many times. Thank you, Dr. Schramm and staff!

I was recovering from having X-rays of my mouth taken a few moments earlier. A baseball game quietly played, from a stereo under a chair, in the corner. I know it was the Red Sox but I didn’t catch who they were playing. Somebody hit a single and drove a runner home, and as I listened to the announcer yell in excitement, Dr. Schamm walked in.
He greeted me, we traded pleasantries, we got down to business.
After a few pokes and prods with, that scary looking hook-like instrument, he sat back to tell me his thoughts.
I already knew what was coming. See, I’m a type one diabetic, and one of the unfortunate side effects of that, is that it is harder to take care of my teeth.
Not because of candy, sweets, or anything I eat or drink, mind you, but because the capillaries in my gums are more prone to be damaged, by “high glucose” numbers and if you know me, you would know that I haven’t been the best diabetic in my 20 year span since being diagnosed.
“See all that? That’s bone” he said pointing at a computer screen that was showing my X-ray results. “It’s supposed to be here, but it’s way up here ”, he moved his pointer up a bit higher on my “bones”.
Apparently your teeth sit in bones, and my bones have been deteriorating, due to my terrible blood sugars for years.
I truly appreciated his straight forward approach with what he was saying. It can’t be easy to sit there, after looking in a strangers mouth, and telling them bad news.
His assistant assured me that everything would be ok. I thanked her. She had always been kind to me, even if I had forgotten her name, but was too embarrassed to ask what it was again.
Dr. Schramm laid out a game plan to attack the issues in my mouth.
I have a cracked tooth: I don’t know which one. I think I heard that it was number “14” from Dr Schramm, but I wasn’t sure. He told me that it was cracked all the way down, close to, the edge where my gums meet my teeth. “There’s a pocket in there...about 4...5 millimeters...” he said to his nurse. Afterwards, he told me that it was infected, and even expelled some pus, “when I pushed it”, he described as my stomach turned a little. I was just glad that, he didn’t tell me that, DURING the exam.
He, as well as his nurses, all have great bedside manner. They are genuine people and know that “a visit to the dentist” isn’t on a lot of peoples “lists of favorite places”, so they make your interaction with them as friendly and comfortable as it can be.
Ok, full disclosure, I am a bit biased. I am one of those people who has come to love going to the dentist.
I didn’t always, but, once many years ago I had an agonizing toothache. One of those toothaches that don’t let you sleep. One that feels like it’s boring through your tooth, jaw, and into the deepest most painful places in your brain.one of those that you wouldn’t wish on your worst ex, well for some of you anyways.
Anyways, Long story short, I went to a dentist and they took the pain away and ever since then, I love going to the dentist.
“Are you having any issues right now?” Dr. Schramm asked me.
“Well, I have this broken crown replacement thing, up here...” as I pointed into my mouth.
He looked in and asked his nurse for some kind of attachment that fit onto his mechanical version, of the terrifying hook thing, and it looked like a tiny little sander disk. You know, like a black and decker drill with a sander disk, instead of a bit, and it’s tiny and fits in your mouth.
He ground the sharp point of the broken crown for me and while doing so, said that “we would also be putting a crown on that tooth but after that infection clears up.”
When he was done with everything, we once again traded pleasantries, and I made my way out to the office. His nurse, “I forgot her name”, walked me out and while we were walking out, I totally missed my chance to ask her.
The young lady who presented my bill to me was very friendly and had really nice eyes and cool mask
The transaction went smoothly and I could say that she played a big part in making that happen.
