I am so glad I found this clinic. I had gone to a different dentist office in town, and the dentist there told me I needed 3 fillings (which would cost me about $250). This in addition to many miscommunications with their receptionist lead me to look for a new dentist, and I'm really glad I found Dr. Hopkins' office. He immediately told me that he is very conservative in his approach, and that if he doesn't feel you need work done, he'll tell you. He showed me pictures of the teeth the other dentist said needed fillings, and Dr. Hopkins told me that they could just be stains, they could be the beginnings of cavities, but in his opinion we didn't need to do anything right now. He also gave me a free electric toothbrush to take home. He was very personable and strikes me as a straight shooter, which I appreciated. The receptionists were also very nice and friendly, and I imagine are much more organized than the other clinic I went to! I've already convinced my husband to switch to this clinic too.

The dental hygienist and the dentist were on exceptional with their services and did an amazing job on my teeth. They were also very friendly. Now at the front desk it is a different story. Before I even came in for my treatment, I called my dental insurance and went through the number to know how much I would be paying. I went there with an estimate in my head and this special receptionist told me I had to pay a much higher estimate. I told her that this number can't be right and went ahead and called my insurance. They confirmed with me that what they were charging is not right and that I should pay them anything until they send my insurance the estimate. I said this to this very special lady who has already started giving me an attitude and she said that I have to pay them now. Yes their policy is that patients pay up front but not if the amount is not right. Thanks to this special lady I am done with this clinic. Anchorage just can't stop issuing out horrible customer service.

Straight forward and straight up genuinely honest dentist from a great University that does his best to be the best. Treating you was a handshake and quality conversation even remembering things from the last visit without prompting. The building is a little bit older but but the quality of care is nowhere near lacking.

I was treated with great care and respect. The treatment I received was excellent. People was nice & made me they was glad I came. The technician acted a little stress because I was having a hard time keeping from swallowing because the chair was laid back so far it was hard to keep liqiuds from going down my throat.

This has been my dental office for the past 10 years and I have to say that patient care is just awesome. From front desk to the MAs to the hygienist and then Dr.Hopkins. Everyone is very friendly and support their patients. This is where my family we all go to.❤️

Dr Hopkins and staff were friendly and helpful. The lab they used messed up my sample twice but they were very apologetic and kept me laughing. The front office people are great as was my hygienist.

Best dentist and dental hygienist in Anchorage Alaska. I have another dental choice through my insurance that’s a ZERO cost to me for the last four years. No Thank You!!!

I will remain at Family Medical Dental Center, simply the best dental care available. The price is reasonable enough to turn down free dental care.

Dentist is great. DO NOT GO TO THE MEDICAL SIDE.

It’s unfortunate that I cannot review the dental separate from the medical. I went to the dentist and it was great, having just moved here I also needed a general practitioner so I thought if the dentist was that good, I’d try the medical side. AWFUL!

I got an appointment and went in. I didn’t really click with the doctor but when it comes to medical care that happens sometimes. Then the issues start. I had some blood tests done and after a week and not hearing anything back I called, I was told the tests were back and the nurse or doctor would be calling me....no call back. Now they don’t answer the phone. If I’m lucky enough to get someone to answer the phone, I am immediately placed on hold without being able to get a single word in. I am left on hold for 30 minutes and then hung up on.

I stopped by in person during normal business hours and no one was there. I call again the next morning, left on hold for 30 minutes before I hang up and try again. No there is no answer. I have left voicemails and never get a call back.

Go somewhere else! They are impossible to deal with and get results.

Dr. Hopkins and his staff were very friendly and efficient. The lady who cleaned my teeth was also very good.

I had 2 teeth extracted by Dr. Hopkins. Procedure was quick and painless, including after the operation. I will be coming back here for my implants.
