Discovery Dental

Absolutely an amazing team! This was my children's (3.5yo and 2yo) first visit to this dentist. They were beyond welcoming and patient as my children were cautious to allow them to help. They cleaned their teeth at each of the children's pace and even went as far as to kneel on the floor to do the cleaning since the chairs were intimidating to them. Then the dentist came and had the same calm demeanor and patience. All were extremely kid-friendly as was the facility. They even had a teeny door for children to use for fun! I will highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for pediatric dental work!

I have nothing but good things to say about Discovery Dental! Every staff member is friendly and accommodating. They know how to work with kids of all ages and are incredibly patient. My oldest originally went to a "family dentistry" but unfortunately they did not know how to work with kids and it was a really bad experience for her. Discovery talked with her about her concerns and performed the same work, but correctly this time. Totally changed her feelings about going to the dentist! During our most recent visit, she had to get fillings between her back molars. She was terrified and cried a lot, but again the staff was very patient. They let me sit on the bed with her during the whole operation. Let me just say: the doctors and assistants here are the real deal! They pair quality with efficiency, and even though my daughter was on nitrous the whole time and didn't remember anything from the operation, the doctor spoke to her and kept her calm and happy. I have never been more happy to pay for a medical procedure, and for what I paid it was a steal! You will never get a better dental experience for your kiddos than Discovery Dental!

This place is amazing! My daughter is terrified of anything but a cleaning and she has stressed for weeks because she knew when she went she might have to have her baby tooth pulled since it had been hanging on for about a year. They did advise it needed to be pulled and gave her options. She was walked through everything and they treated her with the utmost respect making her feel comfortable as possible. They worked in time to do it same day and it took a huge weight off her shoulders. They were very easy with her letting her set the pace through the whole thing. Wouldn't want to take her anywhere else.

Everyone here from the desk staff to the hygienists, doctor, and the billing specialist are the most professional, kind, and caring people. The hygienists and doctor are particularly good at taking the fear out of dental visits for my kids, one of whom can be very sensitive. They always remember his preferences and quirks and they make him feel confident and calm.

Absolutely incredible staff. My 5 year old daughter had some extensive dental work and they kept her comfortable and happy the whole time. Highly recommend.

Been going here for almost 4 years and although the actual dental visits are great, I have continuously had issues with their billing department billing out correctly and sending out bills in a timely manner. I don't think we will be going back if the next visit has the same issues.

UPDATE: Had a routine visit in December 2022, I called ahead a few days prior to make sure things would be good with insurance as a precaution and was told it would be fine. Did not get a bill until 3 months later just saying balance forward 30-60 days past due. I tried working with the office to discuss the issues yet again, but I decided it was better to just cut ties. I am thankful that out of this, our son has a positive dental experience, but I do not want the billing experience that comes with it every visit.

The staff at discovery dental was absolutely incredible! It was my sons first time at the dentist and I know we were both nervous. Nicole was super bubbly, patient and loving towards my son. Looking forward to going back!

Best staff from front desk to dental team! My daughter is 2.5 and has been twice. She gets excited to get her teeth cleaned by the friendly assistant/hygienist and dentist. Most recent appt was super quick but thorough. We don’t have any current issues we needed to fix or address regarding her teeth but they answered all my questions and were very thorough despite quick. They are conscious about getting consent from the kids before touching or using any instruments. They explain what they are doing so the kids can follow and also say no if they aren’t ready to have their mouth touched. Great experience every time.

Always a great appointment at Discovery Dental! The staff takes such great care of all 3 of my young kiddos and they enjoy being there as well.

I was surprised how nice these people are from the front desk up to the dentist himself,I would definitely recommend these to all the parents around eagle river and also anchorage,they really took care of my sons need and payed attention with his struggle with toothache,and didn’t waste time at all we got taken care off right away.thanks you so much,definitely best experience.Rafael loved it here.
