Poor Service Bad Communication Incompetent Staff

Truly awful experience, people must only be coming for a cleaning and no procedures. I called to make my first appointment and confirmed they take my dental insurance, which they said they did. After my first cleaning I was told I had a bunch of cavities which needed to be filled. Fine whatever I anticipated that. I went one week to have 4 done on one side, next week 4 on the other side. I mentioned I was having sensitivity to pressure and wasn't able to chew. This note was never recorded. I was told to wait 4 weeks and come back if the pain didn't go away. 4 weeks later I was still unable to eat with extreme tooth pain. I was told I should have come in sooner if it was that bad. I had two of my cavities refilled in that session and was given a steroid for inflammation and told to call back if the pain didn't go away after a week. Called back because I was still in extreme pain and unable to eat, scheduled a follow up. The morning of the dentist cancelled my follow up and told me to wait another 3 weeks. At this point I had been 2 months in on not being able to eat solid food. I wasn't able to speak with the dentist and they wouldn't see me to discuss options for pain management. It was so bad I ended up going to someone else for a second opinion, they gave me some toothpaste and a strong fluoride paste I could do at home and recommended a night guard to try to ease the pain. Incredibly unfortunate the lack of after care
and attention to detail I experienced here. It was always assumed I wanted to have another procedure for the pain but the dentist never took the time to have this conversation. Four months after this experience, come to find out they don't even take my dental insurance and haven't since January of this year. I was constantly provided with conflicting information from multiple sources about literally everything from procedures to after care to billing. I seriously couldn't recommended this place less to anybody after my 4 month journey in hell.

Great Experience Professional Staff Detailed Explanation Recommend

I had a great experience. Taylor did a fantastic job. She was kind, professional, fast and detailed. Everything was explained with pictures and information for understanding. I definitely recommend.

- update: I now have had several appointments and have seen other staff and each visit has been thoroughly conducted. I really enjoy the staff here. Iā€™m not usually a review type of person but I struggled for a long time finding a good dentist so hopefully this helps someone else.

Good Oral Surgeon Warm and Welcoming Staff Empathetic and Helpful

For the past 3 weeks I have been trying to find a good oral surgeon to remove 3 teeth, 2 of my teeth are very bad since failing to go to a dentist due to COVID. I have been referred out to 5 different dentists cuz noone wanted to do these extractions! Instead, I have spent hundreds of $ paying for consultations only to get referred out to another dentist. Noone has really seemed to care, nor help as they just keep taking my money to peek in my mouth and then, just refer me out AGAIN! Fortunately, I finally found Dr. Emily Evert! I am SO IMPRESSED by Dr. Evert's office because the entire staff has been so warm and welcoming. They help patients who are nervous with dental work and they are ALL so calm, empathetic and helpful! Thank you to pusch Peak Family Dental Practice!!

Professionalism Empathy Comfortable Grateful

I'll start off by saying I have the biggest fear of dentists. I was in need of an extraction that I couldn't put off. Once I was there they put me at ease with their manner of professionalism and empathy. I have already scheduled my cleaning and routine care appt. Something I havnt done in my adult life and I'm 40. They made me feel comfortable and i am grateful for Dr. Evert and the amazing staff!!!

Professional Staff Efficient Work Good Communication Business Side Issues

Dr. Evert and her staff are very attune to a patient's comfort, while being professional, and very efficient at their work. They don't seem to overbook. They each kept me up to date on what they were doing, why they were doing it, what to expect in terms of what I would feel and what I would hear. I do not like dentists, and I had not been to one in a while. I called prior to a later appointment for cleaning regarding pain and a bump that had appeared. I was scheduled in right away, examined, and referred to a root canal specialist. After that procedure, I was again scheduled immediately for tooth reconstruction, and agreed to have a second filling and crown done at the same time since I was already numb. Three weeks later, that work is done. I hope the cleaning goes just as well.

The only issue I had was not related to the dental service, but the quote/consent/payment process on the business side. The quote given initially for the original tooth reconstruction after the root canal was not honored. I signed it, and so did the office. Later, after the work was donedone, I was told it was because the endodontist had *probably* claimed some of my insurance coverage, but I don't think the office person actually looked. The cost of root canal did not consume the entire insurance benefit, and I ended up paying full price for both crowns when I was originally quoted half off the first one, per my insurance allowance. I was numb, had been drilled on for an hour, and was beyond stressed out when asked if I wanted to do the second crown next to the first since I was already numb. So I signed the consent/quote form for the second, even though the price didn't look quite right. Hard to argue with someone when you're drooling, numb, had been upside down for an hour getting drilled on, stressed, and hadn't brought the previous quote with you to the chair in anticipation of having to refer to it before signing on for more work.

This office experience has not put me off on the practice as whole at all because the medical staff itself is very good. But practice close oversight of the business staff, especially if you're dental coverage is less than stellar. The out-of-pocket costs add up quickly.
