Best dentist! Moved to the area recently and was looking for a new dentist - Would definitely recommend coming here! I have very sensitive teeth and the hygienists are so gentle and careful with my cleaning. They also always come into the room prepared - having reviewed the notes on my account or referencing things from my previous visit. Very friendly staff all around (dentist, hygienists, and front desk) that really listen to their patients :)

I’ve had anxiety about going to the dentist for years. I finally decided to make an appointment after a family member recommended Scottsdale Trails Dentistry. I’m glad I listened to them! I needed a deep cleaning and Jessica did a fantastic job. She made sure I was comfortable and not feeling any pain during the procedure. I’d recommended this Dentistry to anyone.

I’m very disappointed. I’ve never had a Problem with Scottsdale trails dentistry until today. A great dentist office I always enjoyed going. but now I will never go back. The front desk staff was great as always. but The oral surgeon they had come into this office and his other staff. Are very unprofessional and ignorant. Extremely rude and disrespectful to patients. If only I could give a negative star.

This writing specifically address my negative experience with Dr. FARNAZ DARIUSH and the procedure she has performed on my tooth.
I have a chipped tooth from 20+ years ago that Dr. Dariush HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to do an onlay on. The tooth is strong and healthy and I have never experienced any pain or issues on the tooth. I have inquired specifically regarding the possible negative effects of the procedure, and Dr. Dariush said it has none negative effects. Possible complication was not mentioned to me.
Fast forward two months, the treated tooth is experiencing severe sensitivity and pain. Came to find out the nerve inside is highly inflamed. And the only option left is to do a root canal, which costed an extra $850+ that I had no option but to pay.
After expressing dissatisfaction with office manager Adela, she ensured that patient complains are being recorded and the feedback is provided to their health provider. However, I did not see any communication being written down nor was provided with a complaint record number. At this point, I highly doubt they're conducting the "complaint feedback process" in a proper manner, if at all.
As a patient, if you've encountered an irresponsible and inexperienced doctor like Dr. Dariush, unfortunately you are the one left suffering from the physical pain, cost, and extra energy/time spent getting the course corrected. There is very little recourse other than to file a formal complaint with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners.
Scottsdale Trails Dentistry as a facility provides little to no help in this situation. Only there to collect the extra costs needed even though the mess was created by their health provider in the first place.

Im giving this review for my mom who hates going to the dentist, usually has nitrous oxide. The receptionist was so kind, Brenda the doctors assistant was crazy amazing at easing my moms nerves. Dr skaalen did not have to give her any thing except shots to do 2 crowns. My mom can now confidently smile! She will come back to do more needed work. Seriously do not hesitate coming here. Quality work, beautifully kind staff and efficient work. Never heard of same day crowns.

The ladies up front were really sweet and talkative. Dentist was fast and straight forward with was going to happen. I never felt like anyone didn’t know what they were doing. I’ll be back in six months.

I’m not one to normally leave reviews, but I just had an appointment at Scottsdale Trails, and I can’t recommend them enough. Dr. Skaalen was extremely friendly and gentle, the hygienist Jessica was thorough and friendly, and the assistant manager Katie was there to help me with everything else. I have dental phobia, and this is the place to go for your dental needs. Extremely understanding, professional, I just can’t say enough.

Dr. Skaalen was fantastic and explained treatment I received that I had never known before. He was very supportive and I felt comfortable with her working my in mouth. The dental assistant was a joy and very cautious with my X-rays as I have a small mouth. The front desk lady was just as good as everyone else. I will be back again!
