Scottsdale Trails Dentistry

I had an oral abscess this morning when I got up and went to my insurance website and found Scottsdale Trails. I had an appointment this afternoon and the biggest part completed before I left. The dentist and his assistant stayed almost two hours after their normal closing to take care of me. I'm amazed and impressed with everyone I came into contact with and will definitely use this practice for all my dental needs.

I had veneers put on recently by Dr Skaalen and he did an AMAZING job. My teeth have always been a source of low self esteem. They weren’t bad, just not great. The job he did was beyond my expectations. Go see him and his partner at Scottsdale Trails Dentistry. Also the hygienist, Nicole, is wonderful as well. She did the deep cleaning for me and she was gentle and thorough. The office staff is wonderful, treatment coordinator is professional and kind. If I could give 10 stars they would deserve. I must say I was very nervous about going to the dentist. However, Nicole and Dr. Skaalen are the best. They explained everything thoroughly for both my procedures and were very patient with my questions. I was so nervous about the local anesthesia and honestly it was all for nothing haha they really made sure I was comfortable and didn’t even feel a pinch! The whole staff is really nice and accommodating. You even get a blanket if you get too cold!

I’m so glad I was assigned here. Another thing I like is how clean everything is and the fact that they use the highest technology. So you know you are getting the best and not walking into an outdated office. So if you get anxious like I do when it comes to the dentist and dread it. Don’t put it off anymore and come here! I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

I am a new patient and need a fair amount of work done. Dr. Skaalen was the absolute best provider I could have hoped for. Great, upbeat personality, very knowledgeable and professional, and makes you feel comfortable as well as informed.
Also, a shout out to the entire staff at Scottsdale Trails as well. They are all fun, efficient, welcoming, and professional, from reception, to the DA's and hygienist, they're all high quality people. I've never been happier to visit the dentist.

Went in for a basic check up and cleaning and got treated extremely well. They remebered my wife who had just gone in and even all the details and carried on conversation very well. Daniel at the front desk was exceptional at customer service and the rest of the staff I met were equally impressive. I had Dr. Khan and Nicole do my actual work and both made me comfortable and were pleasant the entire time. The tech who took my x-rays was awesome too I unfortunately forgot his name. All in all, we had picked this dentist because it was as close as you can get and looked nice from the pictures, but after my first visit I am excited to carry on with all my treatments with them. 5 stars because besides the excellent service, the office itself is modern and all the equipment is brand new. We have great insurance through work but the pricing was very reasonable.

I love this dental office.

They have nice, new technology and a very knowledgeable staff. Not to mention, everyone is genuinely nice so I look forward to going in everytime. They seem to really care about their patients. Also, scheduling is very easy and the paperwork process is painless. You can do it on your phone.

I would highly recommend this office to anyone. Especially, if you are looking for someone new! :)

Came in for a deep cleaning after my initial consultation, met with Dr. Khan for my first session. He was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He walked me through every step of the process, checked in on me at various intervals, and answered all my questions and provided me with good follow up info on dental care moving forward. The e-check in and app are all very convenient to use, pricing is fair, and the customer service here is top notch. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to Scottsdale Trails for about two years now ever since I graduated college and moved to the area. Every visit I’ve ever had here has been phenomenal. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Every question I’ve ever had about oral care was answered with great detail. Booking an appointment is very easy. They even remember my name! I had a wonderful experience. I arrived early, and they were able to accommodate me anyways. I was there for a routine cleaning and check up. The cleaning was thorough. Every staff member from the receptionist to the dentist went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely love Nicole (Dental Hygienist) - I’ve actually followed her from another practice because her demeanor is professional and caring. She makes appropriate recommendations, does quality work, and is super pleasant. Also the Dentist here is amazing - they whole office is great.
