Peak Family Dentistry has been an exceptional experience from the first day I walked through their door in Sedona. Courteous, caring & friendly describe all who helped me...Dr. Shanahan, Dr. Lerud, Yolanta, Kili, Shannon & Tya. The dental procedures were skillfully done with clear communication of what & why. I strongly recommend their expertise to all looking for high quality dental care.

I was reluctant to go to the dentist due to COVID-19 but was convinced by my wife that this location was safe. I am pleased to report that she was right and that all Covid-19 safety measure are practiced here. I also was assigned a new hygienist named Rita. Rita was wonderful, very professional and personable. I am delighted that I have found a new hygienist.

Excellent cleaning from Rita. Meeting Dr. Shanahan - who introduce himself as Bryan - was pleasant. He showed me photos of my teeth and explained his suggestions clearly and without pressure. I definitely recommend them.

My procedure started on time, was painless, and Dr LaRud completed everything within his estimated timeframe. The staff in the office were happy, professional, and work well together. Dr LaRud explained everything beforehand. He is super polite to his patients and to his staff. The very latest technology makes crowns while you wait! He’s conveniently located in the Village of Oak Creek. His hygienist is also excellent. What more can you ask!

I have done only three reviews in my life. Because they really deserved it, for impeccable work. Get ready, this is going to be a super review.
You know how Sedona is Magic? Well, this is a Magic Dental group.
From the moment you walk in, to what looks like any other building next to it, you are transported in another realm. Not your typical western decoration, red rocky 'n all. You could not be anywhere, New York , Paris, Thailand, it is s fully modern space, extremely well designed with much care to noble materials and detail. Very inviting and safe.
Spacious, comfortable and very professional offices and equipment. Yes, less clinical.
Then there is the Dr. himself, a true gentleman, jolly and kind. Not conservative mushy, but modern in every way. He clearly treats all staff and nurses, that were carefully selected, kindly and gratefully.

He is meticulous, you can feel that when he is moving your mouth, tender but firm, a true pro. Conscious, responsive. He is a perfectionist, can tell by how he makes precise and highly controlled moves in your mouth. And just look at the car parked in front of office, you know this guy settles for nothing but perfection. He takes his trade very seriously ,and has machines most have never heard of and that most can't afford.
The nurses are all sweet, knowledgeable, caring and they seem to all through the time there be laughing here and there, makes you wonder if they are on permanent laughing gas, They each are very proficient in their respective field.
The work they all do in the office, is done under harmony, a bit like being surrounded by peaceful giggling fairies.
The equipment is the latest you would see in any office in a grand City. But the service and caring, which is genuine, you wouldn’t get. Not brutal movements, all very controlled and calculated when the Doctor is doing your mouth.
I have been to many offices all over the world, and never met an office so well done, modern and the way the space is distributed, I believe his wife helped, lucky guy. She is lucky too.
Forget those huge offices in Scottsdale where they think bigger is better, they are tacky and not anywhere near this beauty. And then you are treated like serial number, and get some arrogance instead of welcoming with an open heart.
So, for me, it is definitive, no more messin’ around with Big Cities Dentists. Sedona Magic is all I want.
Forget all other Dentist, make this one your dentist. You'll love these guys. I experience no pain when I leave, instead of for days to come from other Doctors. You will lose your fear of Dentists and go into Dental Magic.
And the work result is "Peak."

Alma performed my basic hygiene cleaning today, and I appreciated her positive outlook and calming demeanor. I recommend her highly, and I encourage everyone to schedule with Alma for your next cleaning.

They now take your blood pressure even for cleanings and will send you on your way if diastolic is 100 or more. You are out of luck if you have white coat syndrome or have had a bad day. Find another dentist.

Dr Gage is the best dentist and very kind and professional. His staff are very efficient and compassionate. I recommend Dr Gage to anyone who is apprehensive about dentistry o just needs a great dentist. He also offers Invisalign and teeth whitening.
