I love this practice!! I have not had a good experience with dentists growing up, always rough and painful. But the hygienists at Dr. Johnson’s office are great (Courtney and Jen). They are gentle and I love how they explain everything so well. They truly help me understand how to take care of my teeth better. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in Chico.
Update: Still love this place. I had Beth for a hygienist today and she was awesome! Very friendly and conversational. Dr. Johnson also took time with me to talk about my TMJ and his thoughts on treatments. Always a good experience here!

I called this morning for an emergency visit, I'm new to the area and had not seen a dentist yet. They got me in within an hour, and the staff as well as Dr. Johnson are the nicest and most professional I've ever dealt with at a dental office. I had the emergency because I don't go to the dentist regularly due to prior negative experiences. That will change now, I even made a regular visit appointment because I actually want to go back. The great reviews I saw before calling them are well earned. Thank you Dr Johnson, Tianna and the wonderful lady at the front desk for taking excellent care of me 😊

I have high expectations for care and customer service, and this staff meets them every time. Exceptionally professional, kind and THEY REMEMBER YOU. Not many places are like that anymore. Took my 6 year old daughter in for her first REAL dentist appointment - a few fillings. I was a bit nervous for her as she has never had any dental work done other than a cleaning. Dr. Johnson and his assistant were SO good with her. He relates very well to children and can keep an engaging conversation going with a 6 year old which was fantastic. They described everything in very simple, fun kid terms so there were no surprises for my daughter, yet they kept it fun so she had nothing to be afraid of.
My daughter didn't even flinch once through everything they did. Dr. Johnson was very gentle, quick, yet thorough. He also communicated very well with me about everything they were doing. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Great office.
I have also been in for my own regular dental hygiene appointment and Courtney was great. Very detail-oriented and focused on my comfort throughout the entire appointment.

I went there to have some fillings replaced and chipped teeth fixed. They were extreme professional, fairly priced and did an amazing job on my teeth. They could have easily tried to upsell me on veneers but instead we went with the much cheaper filling option and I love them! You won’t be disappointed if you go there!
