I have been a patient for Dr. Janis for over 5 years. His practice is clean and professional. Dr. Janis’s gentle nature is especially inviting, as I have had major dental issues in the past and have increased sensitivities with my teeth. The office staff always make me feel welcomed and I leave feeling taken care of. I hope others will find their way to his office for dental care.

Janis and his team gave me a great experience. Being my first dentist visit in 10 years they really made me feel comfortable. Janis is a very delicate dentist, nearly pain free. His assistant was very kind and made the whole experience the best it could be. The kind lady who did my deep clean was very sweet and very informative. It shows that Janis truly cares about his staff and more importantly his client. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone. They have really helped me overcome a long drawn-out fear of negative past dental visits. So I just want to say thank you team Janis!

There are so many dentists in Concord, makes it really hard to choose a good one. I had to share that I got completely lucky. He took such good care of my entire family and children. We all had a great experience. Highly recommend this Dentist in Concord, CA.

This is a truly great dentist. Dr. Janis cares!!! I felt like I was in control with all of the different options of treatment for each of the teeth that were bothering me. A rare find.

My husband and I have been going to Dr.Janis for over 10 years.
We both feel that Dr. Janis and his entire staff are wonderful caring people who excel in client satisfaction and comfort.
In addition to regular dental care, Dr. Janis and staff provide last minute /emergency service that has been a great comfort to both myself and my husband. Dr. Janis is patient, kind and gentle in both his dental services and in his interactions with patients in general.
We also are very pleased with the dental hygenists in regards to their professionalism as well as their expertise in the care that they provide on a regular basis. I have never experienced any pain while having my teeth cleaned. In addition, they are kind and caring people who make my dental visits happy and relaxing experiences.
Melissa, the office manager is also awesome. She is as patient and understanding as she is efficient and organized. When I had a problem with my insurance provider, she told me that she would call them and fix the problem and that is exactly what she did. She saved me money as well as saving me from spending hours on the phone trying to call/talk to the insurance company.

Dr. Janis is a very conservative, caring and gentle provider. He also enjoys chatting about real life events such as the Raiders! I forget I'm at the dentist, which I had a fear about. Melissa is an excellent office manager/Assistant. She knows a lot about my insurance and helps maximize my benefits. My hygienist, Marti and the other hygienist are very informative about my oral hygiene and I love how my teeth feel after my cleanings. I love my dental team & highly recommend them!

This dentist is committed to an excellent patient care. He is caring, thoughtful, precise, gentle, an excellent communicator. I am surrounded by many dentist offices where I live, but have chosen Dr. Janis over the others who I have tried before him over a period of several years. I believe I have found the doctor with whom I will stay for a long time. In addition to the doctor himself, I am impressed with his staff at the office, his hygienist and office assistants who are very good at paying attention to all the necessary details. It's an admirable team.

We find Dr. Janis to be an excellent Dentist. He is honest, compassionate and always available to help you when you need it the most. His entire staff is friendly and personable. We have gone here for years and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of a great dentist!

I love these people so much. I had a horrible fear of the dentist due to an awful experience years ago. I hadn't gone to the dentist since 2015/2016. My first visit was in January 2020. I even cried the first time I came in for an appointment here due to anxiety. The staff were so patient with me and Dr. Janis didn't rush me. I needed some work done that could have been done in one sitting, but they worked it out into 3 smaller procedures due to my anxiety. Now I have another appointment today and am concerned about COVID (who isn't?). The receptionist I spoke to put me at ease by explaining their protocols to keep everyone safe and healthy. She was in depth and reassuring. For the first time in YEARS I have zero anxiety about a dental appointment. Thank you so much.

I recently had a filling break off and I didn't notice until it started to hurt. This is what led me to the great staff of Dr. Richard Janis. First, I posted to a local facebook group if anyone could recommend me a good dentist that was affordable and caring. Not only did Dr. Janis employee, Melissa, respond to my request. She made me an appointment, sent me the paperwork, and even guided me through how to go about getting some temp filling from the local drug store to stop the pain. Melissa did all this at 11:00 P.M.

Now, let me tell you about me and the dentist. I grew up going to Western Dental in Concord. After years of what I would consider legal form of torture, I have grown to despise going to a dentist. In fact, having served in the military I told the staff at Dr. Janis I would rather go to Iraq then go to the dentist. I also suffer from an issue of where it is really hard for me to get numb, usually requiring extra shots.

From the moment I walked in the door it was a pleasant experience. Melissa greeted me by name and right away had me in the back getting the x-rays done. One thing I loved right off the back was the welcoming atmosphere and the fact that Dr. Janis keeps the practice simple. There are no fancy bells and whistles here, which in turn means great prices for me as a patient. Do not disregard this place because of the lack of "fancy" bells. This place is awesome. I had my x-rays done in the same chair I was going to be worked on. I was used to going to a separate room for this at other locations.

Now comes in the other part. The actual work done. First time I met Dr. Janis, he spoke to me like I was a person and not just another appointment. Dr. Janis put me at ease, as so did the rest of his staff, as they could tell I was nervous about having work done. Again, I can fight wars but dentist for me is a no-no.

Once we discussed the work I needed done for the day, Dr. Janis took a great amount of time to ensure that I was properly numb. I have a huge sensitivity to pain in my mouth and Dr. Janis was great in dealing with it. He flat out told me he'd rather I be over numb than under. That was great for me. Once the work began, the staff was great. Everyone performed their job 5/5. Dr. Janis also keeps your mind at ease by actually telling you what he's doing throughout the process, which was a new experience to me. It was nice to hear "we're almost done getting the filling out" or "that should be the end of the drilling." These things make for a great doctor.

In closing, Dr. Janis office was great. I didn't have insurance so I paid out of pocket and the price was excellent for the work I had done. I would gladly recommend this Dr. Janis and his staff anytime
