Grass Valley Dental Care: Paul Falvey, DDS

When I moved to Nevada County in 2002 and was searching for a new dentist, Dr. Falvey was suggested by a colleague. I liked him, and the whole set-up, immediately. Sometime after my first appointment, he provided me with a plan for my overall dental care. We reviewed it together as he explained his rationale for recommending one thing or another. He was clear and instructive, and he answered my questions with patience while explaining the proposed treatment in ways that I could understand. Since then, some 17 years later, nothing has altered my first impressions of Dr. Falvey and his staff. If anything, my respect has deepened. His expertise as a dentist, the standard of excellence that he continually strives for, and the consistency of the quality of care that I receive are the reasons why I remain a patient of his long after moving back to the Bay Area. Experience has taught me to trust his judgement in matters related to my oral health.

I was very pleased with the additional safety precautions taken in regard to Covid-19. The staff was as wonderful and helpful as always. They made me feel comfortable and at ease with the new procedures. They listen and work with your concerns and needs, especially if you are like me and get a bit anxious just going to the dentist. I feel I always get a complete check of my oral health and hygenine and they explain everything very well. I am very thankful for Dr. Falvey and everyone in the office.

I think Dr. Falvey is an excellent dentist. He is conservative and takes his time to explain what and why a procedure needs to be done. He is always on time - no waiting. I will recommend him to family, friends and anyone I meet.

My husband Garth and I have been going to Dr. Falvey since he opened his practice in Grass Valley. Appointments have always begun on time. Discovering something new in equipment and technology during our appointments never comes as a surprise and speaks to us about his commitment to education and keeping staff and practice state of the art. We are of an age that has required some complicated procedures; the incredible digital technology and his patience with us beforehand to show problems in detail and the best way to approach restoration is much appreciated. We also appreciate how the office always looks at how best to use our insurance coverage over time on various procedures. Dr. Falvey and staff are friendly, respectful, attentive and committed to our best care. We highly recommend him.

Dreading my first root canal at age 55 and being told by my local Dentist in Reno that due to the complexity of my particular root canal, I should see a specialist, only added to my anxiety.
Dr. Falvy was recommended to me by a personal friend as a highly skilled dentist who does impeccable work. I drove 70 miles (one way) to see him and I have to say that I was amazed at how comfortable I was throughout the whole process. Aside from having to take ibuprofen for a bit of soreness for few days, it was a painless experience. Thank you Dr. Falvy - I will be back this month for my crown work!

The most important thing to me is that a dentist knows what he is doing - to really be a master of his craft. I haven't mastered a darn facet in life to match the competency Paul demonstrates with his excellence in total health dental care. So that's enough of a reason to go to him...but it doesn't stop there. He has got the "touch." He does things in my mouth and there is never pain. Then he or his staff follows up to make sure I am healing properly. Amazing. So if anybody who reads this review is persuaded to go to Paul from what I've honestly said, please mention my name...I want the dinner and a show referral promotion from him.

Dr. Falvey is in the process of replacing my lower teeth with a permanent denture. The replacement process has taken almost a year and is not yet complete. I have called Dr. Falvey many times during this process, often after hours, and he is always patient and resolves the problem immediately. He has state of the art equipment and his staff is friendly and compassionate.

Since I have had problems with my teeth since childhood, I don't look forward to going to the dentist, but at Dr. Falvey's office it's almost pleasure

I found Dr. Falvey through Healthgrades and Google reviews, all rating him with a 5/5. I was not disappointed! He is an extremely thorough, meticulous, experienced and pain free dentist. He spends enough time with his patients in the beginning to determine your overall needs and dental health goals, matches that up with a complete evaluation of near term and long term plans, and comes to an agreement with you on how to proceed. Excellent! I've been waiting all my long life to find a dentist who would actually be willing to give me a long term plan. He is practical and straight forward in his assessment. I have trust already in his judgement.
