I am shocked this practice has not been shut down by the health department! Charlie is very unprofessional - the office looks like something from a SAW movie. Terrifying. Ancient equipment. Very nasty girl who works the front desk. Not to mention they never answer their phone. Not sure how this place stays in business. My daughter was so scared once she got in the dentist chair I had to bring her home. The front desk girl yelled at her twice. Unacceptable behavior - these are not medical professionals. Truly hope the health department steps in - and that Charlie focuses on his ice skating career and not dentistry.

They responded quickly and provided solid consultation in painful emergency situation. Price was very reasonable, especially given the circumstances. Location on the mezzanine of the Westin Bonaventure atrium makes for a very quiet, serene environment. Excellent.

I went to River Dentistry for emergency care treatment for pain TODAY from a wisdom tooth that had been extracted during oral surgery by another dentist 4 weeks ago while traveling. My tongue was being cut constantly by the remains of the wisdom tooth. My pain level had been high for weeks. I barely slept at night and hadn't been able to eat/drink anything but liquids before visiting River Dental. I found River Dental and Dr. Charles Huang after doing several Google and Yelp searches for "Best Dentist", "Gentle Dentist" and "Pain free Dentists" in the LA area. I was amazed at the quality of his reviews. He earns every rave review and glowing praise for his care because it's true! I went in with level 9 pain and now I'm relaxing (same day) with NO PAIN! Dr Charlie actually made a special emergency appointment for me the next day after I'd explained what I was experiencing to his receptionist over the phone. The entire staff at River Dental is exceptional, kind, courteous and talented. Gracieth in reception greeted me warmly and patiently when I arrived this morning, helping me to quickly fill out all remaining forms. Dr Huang's assistant, Lisa is also stellar and exceptionally talented. She and Dr Charlie walked me through each and every procedure prior to treatment with GREAT care, gentleness and patience. River Dental has an exceptionally talented, gentle and brilliant dentist in Dr Charles Huang who has staffed his practice with exceptionally talented and wonderful professionals. The entire staff is The Best! They're located in the beautiful Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Most friendly and considerate dental offices I have been to. Always providing great service from the moment I step foot into the office, and until I am out the door. Repeat patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Charlie's for several years now and have to say he and his staff are always terrific. Had to go in yesterday at the last minute for sudden and then worsening pain in my teeth and they couldn't have been more helpful. They were able to see me fairly quickly and really took care of me. I've seen Dr. Charlie for about ten years now and would never see another dentist in L.A. He and his staff are wonderful, kind, and caring. The care is excellent and reasonably priced. I recently had both a teeth cleaning and a chipped tooth fixed, and my teeth look like new. The best!

I love River Dentistry! I always felt insecure about flashing a wide smile because of overcrowded teeth so I got Invisalign before my wedding. Dr. Charlie and his staff helped me to achieve a picture perfect smile by my deadline. I am so pleased with the results and their services. The office and dental staff are always polite and professional. I never waited more than a few minutes in the waiting area for an appointment. Everything about this practice is painless and easy. They also validate for valet parking in the Bonaventure

I needed to have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted and have a lot of anxiety about dental procedures. The doctor and his staff were kind and gentle. They talked me through the whole procedure and made sure I was comfortable. They even gave me their personal cell phone numbers just in case I had any after hours issues.

The appointment was easy to schedule as well. I'm a teacher and can't typically make it during normal business hours, but they helped me get Saturday appointments. I've never had a doctor willing to do that before!

Today, I woke up only a tad bit sore but otherwise feeling great. Thanks entirely to the doctor's expertise because I know it was a little tricky since I had some abnormalities (long, thin roots).

I haven't been to the dentist in over a year since I've been moving around for my job. I recently moved to LA and was looking for a dentist that was in-network and accepted my insurance (United Healthcare). This was one of the locations super close to my apartment, had good reviews, and open late (until 7pm on weekdays and they are even open on weekends!) so I decided to give it a try. It's a tiny little office in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel downtown (on the left side of the escalators if you enter on Figueroa) but staff is amazing from Receptionist (Vanessa) to Dr. Huang! Everyone was super friendly and nice. Came in for my annual exam/cleaning and it was quick and painless. Dr. Huang and his dental assistant were both very gentle and professional and informative on top of that! They kept me updated with the status of my teeth while they were examining it which I really appreciated. I have a follow-up appointment next month and I can't wait to be back! It's such a relief to find my go-to Dentist in LA!

I had a great experience at River Dentistry. I've heard of many horror stories about the dentist, so I did a lot of research before picking a dentist to visit. These google reviews definitely exceeded my expectations. Great service and wonderful staff! Will be getting my teeth cleaning done here next time!
